The download-play Mario Party makes it much more tempting. My wife and I also love the Mario Party games, although we were really let down by 10. If we're gonna play a Mario Party, we'll just go to 2 on the Virtual Console. But one that has a bunch of cool modes and we only need one copy to play? I might be down…

The biggest problem of looking into the subtext of moments like this is not the actual people conceiving or summarizing the theories, but rather those that can't separate fan theorizing and canon. I'm all for some fun theorizing about the worlds (heck, I have an overly-elaborate one that makes Pikmin a prequel to the

Am I going to go to Majora's Mask? Of course I'm going to go to Majora's Mask…

I just kept leveling everyone in any job that I found helpful, and then turned them all into Freelancers for the final fight. It did feel cheap, though. The Bravely games fortunately ditch that, and instead provide a better way to have passive abilities between different classes.

V is easily one of my favorite Final Fantasies (mainly because of its Job system, which was perfection. Shame that Square wouldn't repeat its brilliance until Bravely Default). I feel like it got that low-profile status by getting localized late, at which point RPG stories had done far better and more dynamic things

Hey, there was an N64 version of Starcraft! :P I forgot that the site was Nintendo-exclusive, though. And yeah, the A-button in Air Ride is another good example.

I realized a bit ago that I need to return to Woolly World. The biggest problem was that the wife and I were going at it in co-op, but then time just became an issue. And even when we had time, we often wanted to do something a bit more fast-paced like Hyrule Warriors or Smash.

There was a lot more than I was expecting in this Direct, and a lot of it is stuff that I really want. I'll probably pass on Mario Maker 3DS, although I do hope that some of its elements come to the Wii U version (let me and my friend in New York collaborate on courses! Or, all of us here at the Club of A.V. could!)

I will definitely be diving into the newly released Hyrule Warriors DLC. Adding Toon Zelda from Spirit Tracks is…well, my love of our mice-fearing princess has been well documented here.

Nice Splatoon article (although I had a minor conniption at calling the matches two-minutes :P). It's one of those brilliant works where everything just works together; remove or change one element of how Splatoon works and you risk it falling apart. It also evokes one of my favorite things in games: simple controls.

There was a fake boxart made (intended to be one of those "leaks" that gets everyone debating if it's real or not, but it didn't take off) for a 3DS Rhythm game based on the Squid Sisters. With the game's emphasis on their music, I could see that totally working.

I was getting very disappointed in how far I had to scroll to find this…

I like Echoes more than 1. It's mainly because of the environments, though. Swamp levels are often some of my favorite, so Torvus Bog was awesome, and the Sanctuary Fortress is incredible. I didn't mind the ammo system, personally; just switching between what shots you use regularly makes it manageable, especially if

The Luminoth language thing was my one problem with the game. It was useless besides just opening those doors, and as such felt so much more restrictive. There's a big difference between "you can't get through this door until you have the ice beam" and "you can't get through this door until a guy has said you can".

First off, happy birthday! Second, I can see where you're coming from on Phantom Hourglass. Even though it's one of my least favorite Zelda games, just because the aesthetic and music was pretty forgettable, I remember liking it more at the time than Wind Waker. The touch controls were fun and comfortable. It's why I

That drop stinks. I dropped into the B's for a bit, but managed to shoot back out of there. Heck, once when B+ was the highest I'd gotten, I dropped all the way back down to C. It was…it was…horror… The biggest hell with the lower ranks is that there are tons of people who just have no idea what to do, and sometimes,

The same battle, someone (I think my useless Avatar) missed on a 98%. Maybe it was the next battle. Whatever the case, bleh. That's not surprising. I'm still also convinced, on the idea of percentages, that the odds of a Pokemon hurting itself in its confusion are higher for you than for your opponent…

Same as ever, it's Splatoon and Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright. For Splatoon, I had fallen to A- in Ranked Mode for most of the week, but I just managed to get back to A last night. As for Fire Emblem, I'm pretty sure I'm near the end. About to start Chapter 22. The last chapter went mostly well…except for that one

I really liked the latest Boss Keys, going over Majora's Mask (and even left a sizable comment on the vid). His love of the Water Temple made me exclaim "Thank you! Someone gets it!" because yes, haha, the Water Temple was so frustrating as a kid, haha…except that it's possibly the best dungeon in the game. Granted, I

There's definitely an element of "it gets harder" to the game. Some of the levels that rely on the suit can be dang tricky. For me, though, the most challenge and fun came from making my own challenges using the Cat Suit. For example, in the first level, it's possible to get all three stars and the stamp without
