I put my hand under running water and whip a drop of water into the fry pan. If it sizzles, it's ready. If there's little reaction, I wait.

While my friend was out of the continent, I was responsible for incoming calls/texts. The phone had a 6GB plan. I maximized my use of that.

Sloopydrew,

I'm still waiting for freedcamp to catch up to basecamp.

Why the scream?

The Nuvi 265W appears to be a 2004 model, but I got it as a gift, so I'm okay.

Hi, Tim. Just got a Garmin Nuvi 265W with a RAM mount.

It's not so much about "screen space", but more of "mind space". The opposite of the saying "Out of sight, out of mind" applies: "In your sight, in your mind".

thanks demarcmj for your clear answer.

Thanks so much for your reply, demarcmj.

Ooh, I just quickly checked Craigslist for GPS under $30 and saw these:

Thank you very much for your response, Tim. I've never bought anything at a pawnshop before. I've stuck with eBay and craigslist for used items.

Do you know that is the case? Is it because the craigslist ads do not have an address identifiable by the Craigslist software?

Your alphabetical system is interesting and will save me much brainpower and memory. So do you just toss all your "A, B and C" items into one huge drawer? Or do you break it down further: "A" items on left, "B" items in middle partition, and "C" items on right side?

From another reply on this post, a commenter mentioned CoPilot Live. It's not free, but it has a free edition: CoPilot GPS. The free app doesn't have voice navigation.

Hi, Wolfkabal. Thanks for your helpful post. This is my first month with an Android and have not heard of co-pilot until your post mentioned it. Could you tell me why you bought Co-Pilot when there's a free "Co-Pilot GPS" app available?

timgray,

What's the benefit of having a speedometer on your Android if your vehicle has one? Just trying to see the advantage.
