Same difference. The player vs ref usually gets handled by a league even in the US and I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of criminal charges in a player vs ref in the US. I could be wrong though.

Truth is in professional sports even in the US assaults usually do not end up with criminal charges if its player vs player. In Argentina? It’s not my country and never been there either but I’d say getting real charges made or adjudicated would be really unlikely.
