Not even remotely true. I just spent 3 weeks in NYC. Never encountered roads that would "swallow a civic" but I did comment multiple times that the roads are much better then those in Seattle where I live.

Am I the rare exception that thinks it will fail because it is ugly? Thing is hideous. Looks like a terrible blend of a Ram and a Tundra which are both good looking pickups on their own.

I'm fairly certain it had RE070s on it. So yes a loud high performance tire. But all tires turn into hockey pucks in Montana. You just have to know how to drive with them. Only good snow tires are those with studs. Otherwise a set of "All Seasons" are all you need.
