Maybe I’m mistaken, but I think Del Toro is involved from a distance? I think he’ll keep Kojima from going all Lucas on everyone.

To be fair, I don’t think the jumpscares would be as effective if the atmosphere in the games weren’t creepy. I played the game for the first time after thinking it was just jumpscares, and was actually rather impressed by the sound design in the game.
Counterpoint: most of the articles were trash, but what got me started on Kotaku, even through the aforementioned “dark ages”, was how they handled their reviews (and still do). No arbitrary numbers or score, just a simple “is this game worth getting?”
The other week, during the whole fiasco where Jason uncovered the guy claiming to be receiving death threats over Battlefront 2, I had the chance to talk to someone who didn’t like Kotaku and ask them why.
I disagree, the service with lootcrates and star cards is giving you a dopamine fix whenever you splurge on some, and making you feel powerful enough that you can afford the better characters in the reinforcements.
I miss that :(
And this is what happens when you treat games as a service™ instead of as a product or an art.
“It’s the one-year anniversary of Final Fantasy XV’s launch, which means it’s nearly time for Square Enix to finish the game.”
Totally worth it, but if it’s the only game you want for PS4 then it may be more worth your money to buy a PS3 instead.
Here’s a copy from a reddit post I found by /u/Skrattybones:
There doesn’t need to be legislation if they just put pressure on the ESRB.
fair enough. I still want to play the game, I just don’t want to support EA’s shitty behavior.
Well that’s kinda my point. Maybe most of the time it doesn’t matter, but when you’ve got someone wrecking face it might become pretty tempting to buy some of your own.
I would normally agree, but I’ve seen the videos of people who paid for star cards steamrolling others and so I’m unconvinced.
That would be cool! I personally feel that Pokemon is a little different, however, because of its social features; if I want to go back and play a different Pokemon I am free to do so, but there will be few if any people playing that iteration competitively or actively trading on it. Conversely, Mario and Zelda don’t…
I know most of these are things that probably will, but that’s besides the point. I’m still salty about some old features though.
I do agree with you, but the fact that legacy servers already exist for WoW (unofficially anyways) proves us wrong.
They don’t want class balance? Whatever, just means Horde will dominate PvP with their shamans that Alliance can’t have.
Fair enough, I’m just saying you won’t contribute to EA’s shitty marketing tactics if you refuse to buy the game new and refuse to pay money for any loot boxes. I know that siren’s call is a little too strong for some people, though.
