It’s not Heather’s fault you can’t understand what she wrote. I can’t just pull quotes to prove she actually answered it, because she did so rather verbosely, but to dumb it down for you, her answer was, “It’s a moral issue because this is essentially unregulated gambling and it hurts people who have a predisposition

The best real-world analog for loot crates I can come up with is blind packs, but if the toys in blind packs also gave you cool clothes or increased your skill in something.

I’m actually having a hard time finding a video or animation of this being used, any chance you could help me out there?

If we’re arguing who was first, the fact that Naruto didn’t “officially” start until 1999 is irrelevant because the first publication was 1997.

Now playing

All I’m saying is I didn’t hear of people making jokes about it until Naruto, and most of the jokes directly reference Naruto:

Eh, in any case Sonic wasn’t what made it famous.

Sonic Adventure was released in December 1998. It’s possible they came out with screenshots of that before then, but Naruto was first published sometime in ‘97.

That looks newer than Naruto.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, everything official I looked for shows Sonic running with his fists pointed forwards at nipple level.

I used to play specifically on PvP servers. Then I played on PvE and was SHOCKED to learn that it shouldn’t take 4 months to rise to level 60. World PvP is only good if you have more patience than the Old Gods.

I agree completely, there’s so much weird about this but since he basically admitted it over text it’s probably a cut and dry case. I kinda think his team should have waited for a verdict before kicking him off, though.

Well then tenfold of nothing is nothing, so...

Well, true, but then that creates another problem with the same symptom: you can’t really buy what you want with credits unless you keep getting dupes because you already have everything else.

Lol for all I know, Kephrii is indeed a terrible player and doesn’t deserve any fame nor to be in the big leagues. All I’m saying is Taimou sounds like a dick too.

Sleazy, sure. I don’t think it crosses the line into predatory unless the person doesn’t take no for an answer and continues to harass an individual for nudes.

I think that would ring more true if they gave you credits from duplicates comparable to how many credits they charge for each item. I’d probably have less incentive to buy loot boxes if it were so.

So you’re saying that if a woman sent you nudes unwarranted, you’d be repulsed and call them out for being predatory? Or are you saying that if a man sent you an unwarranted dick pic, you’d be chill with it and wouldn’t be wary of him in the future?

The fact that they’re single use? Unless they changed that or I’m thinking of something else, but last I checked the items you use to recolor your armor in the game were real money based and went away after you used them once.

Bethesda also kills their franchises by getting rid of anything in them that people actually play them for. Fallout 4 was super disappointing.

Agreed except I thought the article explained rather well that his behavior was predatory because it was him sending nudes to others, not the other way around. Plus I don’t think we’d be hearing about it if it was all 100% consensual considering the women affected were the ones leaking the chat logs.
