He doesn’t care about accurately reflecting the history of Canada’s treatment of indigenous people, he just cares about making sure his opinion of the US is known
I’ve neither stolen pieces of feces nor have I enticed a fun run in my time. Do you have any better analysis?
In the popular parlance, I’m what you might consider a gun nut. I’ve owned several over the years, everything from ultra modern ARs to antiques. I routinely carry; my preference is a Colt 1851 Navy replica cartridge converted to .45 Long Colt. I’ve also served in the military for over a decade, and thanks to…
Kirk, the second amendment is the second one. The one after freedom of speech. It’s not number four or amendment number 8. It’s the second one. That is a pretty big deal. People lose sight of the fact that guns are literally part of the fabric of this country. Don’t be scared of them.
I’m black and the way I see it is if you don’t want people to say the n-word, don’t put it in your rap lyric. Honestly it’s not a big deal and like... it’s a word who cares. People give words too much power nowadays. People say “Oh but the history behind the word” and imo that’s the past and this is the present, it’s…
I mean, I guess, but its part of the song? Or would you call it singing? Or rapping? I dunno. The titling by Deadspin makes it seem a lot more malicious than it is. I’m not sure how anyone can say otherwise.
Samer, I’m genuinely curious: Don’t you at least acknowledge that the way that this story was presented on Deadspin at least somewhat dishonest?
Eat an asshole. All I was saying is cyclists risk their lives by riding on streets where cars fly by. I don’t understand it, but it’s their right and they choose to do it.
Those are all good changes. Why a lot of them weren’t already incorporated into the base game is a mystery. And a huge fail for Bungie.
I never quite understood why bicyclists risk their lives by riding on the roadways of busy streets. I get it, it’s your right, but knowing how drivers are, why risk it? I used to see cyclists on Route 8 in Pittsburgh where cars were zooming by at 65mph. Dumb. For him, it’s gotta be even worse. The roads in Italy…
This isn’t really hating on black people at all. It’s a group of girls having fun singing along to a popular song.
Exactly, this is the big issue with “avoidable” microtransactions unless they’re completely cosmetic. Their existence will cause developers to make things harder to get through normal gameplay to influence you to spend more.
It may be too early to tell, but do you have a sense of how easy/difficult it is to get silver bars? One of the problems with “avoidable” microtransactions is when they are nonetheless effectively necessary because the game makes it unreasonably difficult to get the item otherwise.
There’s no more relying on a radio tower to open up the map for you
Anytime you give one kid a privilege that another one does not get, earned or not, you bring in the screaming parents threatening to sue because little Johnny got treated differently from the other precious little snowflakes. Then the racial or sexism accusations fly and people start counting how many white kids got…
Except I’m not defending toxic behavior and have no concern over legit greivers getting their own space. I’m not a shit poster or one of those ‘blood sports’ guys. My number one concern is who defines hate speech and who gets the red button to unperson a gamer based on their standard for it.
This will not end well for anyone involved; publishers, devs, gamers - this is gonna be a mess. A unifying standard between fanbases is one pickle, but across cultures? Nationally? Globally? Impossible.
First world problems. Really poor people around the world manage to carry their own bags like everyone else. Either use your own bags or get the free paper bags that are given out in many stores where plastic is now banned. Stop using “but what about minorities and poor people” in every argument.
Wait, what? Poor people can’t get reusable shopping bags like everyone else? It’s a one-time expense (usually $1-4), and you use the bag forever. Poor people around the entire rest of the world bring their mesh/cloth bags to shop with and nobody thinks it’s unfair.
