Termites were just earthy to me. Maybe what they're eating matters more than what they are? 

I had lemon ants straight off the leaf in Ecuador. The lemon flavor was nice, and the texture reminded me of tobiko. Termites were just earthy though. They’re supposed to be a great source of protein, but I'd take the ants over them any day.
