Wrong. Millennials are in trouble because the baby boomers have robbed the system blind. Their greed has left the millenial generation (and all others) holding the bag for failed economic policies.

I’m on Verizon. I consider some of those bonus features a problem since I have zero interest in using them and I can’t delete them off my phone.

That seems like the kind of attitude that allows them to keep getting away with it.

I worked as a checker for years as well and share this frustration. I had to shake my head when I read, “If you get good at it, you can walk out with a cart of groceries in less time than it would take a checker to scan and bag them for you.” No way. A competent checker will beat these awful machines every single time.

Also, little-known fact: The checkouts can be set to be faster or slower depending on what corporate thinks the customers in a particular store require. I worked in retail grocery for over a decade and one of my great frustrations about using self-check is that in some stores they are horribly sloooow, so much

That's another option for those interested. If you borrow their phone though, you'll need them to log out of Google Voice and you'll need to log in. If you have two-factor on, that could get a bit complex if your phone is out of juice.
