The developer specifically did this so people could use it for free. Personally I'm going to give it a try, and if I like it, $7 is plenty reasonable for the convenience of not having to sideload, and getting future updates. Everybody wins.

And depending on the airline, they can sometimes be talked into giving you a gate pass, but I’ve rarely had them approve me. They’re mostly for unaccompanied minor situations, but it doesn’t hurt to ask, just don’t count on one.
