Full disclosure: there are a couple GT/CS models in my town, and every time I see one, I can't help but admire how attractive they are. Sure, they may be fast in looks alone, but I wouldn't mind owning one myself.
On modern cars (especially luxury/high-end ones), fiddling with anything in the electrical which might intersect with the security system is an exercise best left to the pros. Modern integrated anti-theft systems don't like to be touched in incorrect ways, and screwing it up will probably result in an expensive visit…
There's definitely an art to dealing with drums, especially with those damned springs. After a couple times around the block, it's not especially taxing. I even enjoy it somewhat.
