The last time I got severance pay at all, it was only two weeks. Two months sounds great to me.
I had a similar thing happen at my last studio. I may or may not have noticed that the executives’ calendars weren’t blocked and saw blatant meeting names on impending layoffs. I also may or may not have told everybody in which the company sent nasty companywide emails on invasion of privacy since they didn’t know who…
A friend was laid off last week 2 hours after an all hands assuring everyone they weren’t “laying everyone off”. I would guess it’s a way to keep people from destroying work or causing havoc before they can revoke access.
Oh yeah, weird: I’m totally just now realizing that this is decidedly “Robin” and not “Red Robin”, even though, y’know, the logo.
I get the French is our ‘2nd language’ but in reality... it’s such a small part of the country that speaks it and it’s all hyperlocalized to one area. Our true second language, by the numbers, would probably be Tagalog, Mandarin or Punjabi. Canada has spent it’s whole history trying to placate Quebec though.
Came here to post this. I’ve been shopping for a new small car for my commute... choices are sparse in the small car category, especially if you’re going for something other than an econo-box. It’s no wonder people aren’t buying in that segment - it barely exists.

I agree with you that pedestrian and cyclists are far down the list of priorities at most American cities, but even here we have better bicycle lanes than this. A protected lane is ideal; failing that, there should at least be clear and visible indications of what’s the bike lane and what’s the sidewalk. Having it…
To be fair, this is essentially a shared lane, which is relatively common in American cities, only it’s on the sidewalk and not the road.
That initially shocked me, but then I remember a certain relative telling me he pays over $800/mo for a used Explorer, so actually it doesn’t surprise me at all...
THIS PATH LEADS LEFT!
Honestly, if the price is right for you, I highly recommend this game. It’s weird with fantastic combat and a pretty neat party system. Plus, getting to make your own henchman and someone seeing them online going, “Oh, that character would be perfect to fill out my party!” hasn’t been done since really.
Yesssss
the idea of metaverse is dumb, Zuck is surrounded by yesmen that are not telling him that.

He’s going to be really upset when he hears about this new western lib fanservice anime featuring gender bending as its central plot point:
