Totally agree. Around here it’s virtually a free-for-all. On a near daily basis I see people randomly ignore red lights, casually blow through stops and go into the on-coming lane to pass people. That’s in addition to assholes speeding down narrow residential streets and the general chaos from motorcycles and ATVs in

Yes, they do, usually by freeriding and producing more oil while the rest of OPEC clamps down on supply to take advantage of higher prices. But overall, if you can lower gas prices, it hurts Russia.

Ever seen an old movie where there are elevator operators? All those poor people lost their jobs when they invented buttons to push. Then there are the shoe-shine people in the same movies. Once we invented not giving a crap about shiny shoes, those people lost their jobs too.

Basically the only vehicles in town should be public transportation (I’m including taxis there) delivery vehicles and residents’ (which should be very strongly discouraged from having more than one vehicle per household either way).

I was expecting it to be a little more open to interpretation. But those sound clips are yikes.

Unions exist to make sure employment contracts and procedures are followed. The problems only pop up when employers do not do that, I have never seen a case where an employer actually followed the procedures and was not then able to dismiss an employee. It is only when the employer fucks about, they find out. And, as

We have a Pacifica Hybrid.  Of the 12,000 miles we’ve put on it, 9,000 have been all electric.  It’s amazingly efficient for our use case.

I love the plug ins that get 20 or 30 miles on electric only mode.

I’m not from New York, but I used to live there. People said “please” and “thank-you” and hold doors for strangers. Maybe you just found a bunch of self-absorbed assholes. There are such people in every major city.

You should be able to roll SUVs down fire roads, but all of these weekend bros who think you need 37's and lockers to drive down a flat gravel road are rutting everything out.

This. And why none of us should sympathize with businesses with no staff offering ungodly poor service right now.

Having many friends in the industry, here’s another thing that goes unsaid, but also contributes to staffing shortages:

Delta is the only MAJOR airline that pays flight attendants during training. You have to look at some of the smaller airlines to see any paid training. Even vaunted Southwest, whom I love, doesn’t pay

I’ll do you one better: at least where I live, I can walk about 1/4 mile and take the train (for $2.00) to the airport.

Uber and Lyft are only paying extra through surges and bonuses. This means they don’t have to make a commitment to higher fare cards for the drivers, but it also means drivers can be making under $5/hour during less-busy times, especially when you consider the minimum fare for most drivers is ~$2.50. Yeah, you read

Followed by a rebrand as “Android Move”,  followed by a rebrand to “Google Go”, then a rebrand to “Android 3D”, then an rebrand to “YouTube Motion”, then a rebrand back to “Google Transport”.

Drivers also no longer have the option of buying a cheap used car to use for ride-sharing work.

I’d go with Goober.

Ok, here’s an essay on what getting the media to deal with these kinds of issues is like from the other side; Long story short, it’s a depressing nightmare.

I haven’t updated in a little bit, so I wonder if the default hotkeys are new? I remember having to set hotkeys each time I installed OBS (usually shift + an ‘F’ key), and the Hotkey menu just being empty by default.
