I’m on here reading about cars as an escape. I’m in Minneapolis, which has been rather tense lately. Fuck MPD, and fuck Bob Kroll.

Do I think Kids were sent by the US military? Of course not.

Well, Durham HAD been doing very well. People voluntarily started quarantining in February, our mayor issued a stay home order before the state and kept it in place longer than the state. We were at an average of 13 cases per day, now we are at 40. Not BAD, but trending the wrong way.

Now playing

Last I checked it was 1% death rate. So, maybe 3 million deaths, tops. I’m not saying we won’t get our hair mussed...

The “second wave” will likely happen when kids return to school. I teach 4,5,6 and 7 year olds. They don’t do social distancing. And there is always one kid with his/her finger in their nose. My school is going to need to buy hand sanitizer in 55 gallon drums.

That depends entirely on if you’re in a pro-social believing area or an anti-social believing area. Most of the people I talk to are definitely aware that a second lockdown is coming, and it’s mostly loud idiots who think that temporary inconvenience is a major hardship who are rebelling.

If they quit going to Starbucks and eating avocado toast every morning they would be just fine. They just need to get a 2nd or 3rd job and pull themselves up by their boot straps.

Don’t you know, the smartest person in the whole country, whose uncle was a doctor of physics who taught at MIT, has told us that with the warm weather the virus will simply disappear.  Hence in the warm South there simply isn’t a problem.  Poof!  The virus has gone.

Or it could be argued that the risk is minimal outdoors provided you are distancing, not talking and not coughing around people. I think a balanced approach is appropriate considering a range of factors including demographics, risk, and all factors.

It’s elegant, but it would be cheaper to just retrofit existing parking meters and street lights. The main problem is not finding space for the chargers, but doing all the underground wiring work and distribution infrastructure upgrades necessary to deliver all this power. That, and keeping drunk assholes from just

Uh oh, you mentioned science and public health. Brace for a parade of brazen stupidity in response.

The consumer market will also respond to affordability.  The more affordable the electric car, the more response one will see.
