Yeah what could these POSSIBLY be certainly not any military technology being tested no sir the United States government would never do THAT.

If it's not Flash Thompson and His Symbiote on Wacky Space Adventures or Tom Hardy in a rom com with violence, Venom is boring. The minute I get control of Pete in his jumpsuit I'm dragging his ass to the nearest set of bells.
Yup, I agree. But they really are not well run, as a company.
It was never your first source for hard-hitting exposes as a rule, and being owned by Penske Media (which you might remember literally closes publications rather than accept them unionizing) definitely didn’t help matters. But even for an industry trade pub, this is weird. It’s a blatant attempt at image rehab while…
You forgot the best part, namely Kotick claiming that the unions either bamboozled or colluded with the Wall Street Journal to defame him. Really what does one expect from such an infamous socialist publication that champions workers rights above all else and ow I sprained my sarcasm gland ow.
There are three huge problems with the current AI narrative that really need to be broken out:
Elno chugging gin and softly singing “I love what you do for me, Toyota” as tears drip onto his Cybertruck model.
Eh, all the movie studios are failing. Shocking how when people are trying to decide how long they can stretch a can of soup for meals, they’re uninterested in paying $15 for a movie ticket.
To be fair I can understand why a video game about adorable little paper people engaged in a quest to find God maybe was a one-off from a major multimedia conglomerate.
Arguably part of the reason we’re here is because the asshole ex-boyfriend of someone who developed a free game about depression made up a bunch of misogynist bullshit about her and a bunch of gamers either fell for it or used it as a way to vent their misogynist bullshit.
It’s Ubisoft. $2 billion is nothing to Sony and they have no reason to screw over Embracer provided nothing is seriously wrong over there (not something I am 100% on for the record.) MS is too focused on losing $69 billion to Activision to screw Embracer. But Ubs? Ubs just ate some serious fiscal shit, it's in real…
There’s a large difference between what you’re describing and a recession. By definition, in a recession the economy shrinks. What you’re describing is the economy growing more slowly. The Fed wants the latter.
Video game companies are toy companies.
While I agree that certain sectors of gaming are less inflation sensitive in the short term, the simple reality is games are luxury goods and if you need to spend more money on necessities, you’ve got less money for luxury goods.
Admitting what’s really happening, namely that inflation is driving consumers away from buying games and that they borrowed too much on the premise that low interest rates would last forever, would collapse the company.
Would it kill you, Ethan, to boot up Wikipedia? The Fed is not “trying to engineer a recession,” they’re trying to drive down inflation, which I don’t know if you’ve noticed but it’s REALLY bad for people who can least fucking afford high inflation right now.
Reading the business data in this post and considering the fact that this was pretty clearly a leak ordered by the executive suite, we’re never gonna see this game as Ubisoft sinks.
Basically if this deal goes through literally everybody loses in the end, with one exception. Microsoft has tried to buy its way to first place before and that’s always ended in disaster. ABK is clearly wobbling as a company over their multiple legal issues and if the sale goes through, it’ll be a year at the outside…
Not quite as good as Netflix putting Evangelion up and all its fans discovering at the same time that what spoke to you in high school may not land as an adult, but still pretty great.
I wish. I grew up around white people who called themselves “leftists” and the minute they had to give up even the tiniest bit of privilege, suddenly THE LEFT HAD GONE TOO FAR.
