Welp just bought it today so I'm committed. I'll just crank down the settings and go from there.

What will be funny is when Microsoft makes all these big tough grunting noises and then caves and does the port with no concessions because the game cost too damn much for them to be able to reject any money they can get for it.

Most people will just cancel it. As streaming services apparently had to learn the hard way.

The thing about Game Pass is that if you play a lot of games it’s great...provided you don’t already have an enormous backlog of games you’ve bought that you want to play, which even newbie gamers can rack up fast at this point, especially if they’re on PC.

Starfield’s going to wind up on PS5 within two years.

If nothing else the fact that he thinks he runs a defense company or some shit really needs to stop. Bobby, pal, buddy...you make toys.

Congratulations to Microsoft for being saved from itself, and to all the lawyers who will be involved in whatever shitshow Activision was hoping to stick Microsoft with and run away.

This is arguably worse because the Xbox One launch was a DISASTER. Remember when Microsoft wanted us to be excited over the death of used games and that your console had to have a broadband connection to even function?

I got it in 5 after blowing one of my own rules: ALWAYS go for the most common word you can think of with the letters you have.

I used to work in trade journalism and good fucking luck explaining that to any PR firm. I’m sure Kotaku’s writers have plenty of stories of some chucklefuck breaking date weeks or months ahead and having to clean up that shitshow, only for that self-same chucklefuck to angrily demand where that exclusive you didn’t

The main problem is and remains that if you are really good at something, and that something rewards you with fame, power, and riches (or even just their appearance!) many people immediately assume those skills transfer over to literally everything.

The sad thing is he has a few decent points lurking in there, particularly around how arbitrary the whole system was, which are torpedoed by his inability to confront the obvious issues around the new system or that he thinks Twitter engineers were all popular jocks.

The tone by and large seems to be “Look at these very smart people discovering they have not, in fact, anticipated some extremely common edge cases.”

26 inches of rain in 12 hours.

He’s not competent. Whenever he’s stepped outside Florida, or been forced to actually govern instead of perform, he’s shown himself to be a dullard and a coward. If he weren’t governor of a state being pushed hard to the right by white people retiring to it nobody would know or care who he was.

Where are we headed here now, that if you express disagreement in this country, the government is allowed to punish you? To me, that’s what I always thought liberals did.”

The weapon breaking mechanic is a hard no sale from me. Stop wasting my time with boring systems.

What's particularly funny is power generators are racking panels and building turbines as fast as they can because SURPRISE it's cheap af.

It’s been like this for decades. A handful of dipshits write the talking points and then right-wingers vomit them back out again.

So what'll happen when the first season is in expensive flop? I know Legacy moved a lot of copies but Rowling is just going to keep pissing in the punch until everyone can taste it.
