Why aren’t Microsoft shareholders rioting? First MS vastly overbids on Activision, and now Activision has to sign a C&D that has some fairly serious implications about its past conduct that it almost certainly has already violated?

The devs have a hard job to do here, since you do need at least some communication tools (i.e. asking your opponent if they would like to snap) and this is a game that will be played by children and they do not deserve the full-blast shit-talking adults can deploy no matter how much of a troll they are in-game. Plus

Deadpool is absolutely an “the RNG is feelin’ sassy this game.”

I only use Thanos when somebody is a giant dick the whole game, snaps on me in a late round, and loses. I know it won’t teach the 14-year-old kid doing it anything but one lives in hope.

This is why the game needs a tool to express frustration and annoyance with an opponent. I get they can’t exactly have, like, Rocket giving you the finger, but there are moments where you really do need to tell somebody “Hey, you’re being shitty when you play Wong, Scorpion, Iceman, and Odin on Kamar-Taj.”

The problem with that data is twofold. One, it’s based on BMI, which was invented by a sociologist from Belgium. In the 1800s. He wasn’t even a medical doctor by the standards of the time. Throw a rock and you’ll hit a doctor highly critical of BMI.

You know a lot of medication can make you put on a large amount of weight, right? Like you can eat right, exercise, do all the right things, and still put on fifty pounds.

I am not a fat fuck and I’m also 38" waist. This ride is bonkers.

Not gonna do much for Venom though.

I disagree with using the Goblins. I see Gobby or Hobby I know I’m winning the match. Hobby in particular means my opponent just wasted round five while I spent it teeing up around six.

That's true, but there's a lot of red flags about this deal. Activision isn't worth $69 billion just for starters.

Yeah, I've seen some of her other bad tweets elsewhere. I'm just surprised that a professional at a level where the wrong tweet can get you fired (maybe not from Activision of course) is being this flat out dumb.

It’s not a surprise she’s a shitty person. That’s not what I’m talking about. The problem is that she lacks the presence of mind to read this draft tweet, realize it’s a bad idea, and then delete it.

Me with Killmonger in my deck:

Still waiting on unranked mode, so I can play the game against people who actually want to play a match instead of fleeing the minute their precious cube hoarding strategy goes wrong.

Some of them are paying for attention, while the toxic folks are popular among other toxic folks. If you’re unethical enough to tell people what they want to hear regardless of what the truth is, you’ll never lack for attention.

Yeah, I don’t know his work, but aside from the live chat error he seems more like somebody who would be a TV personality no matter what, Twitch was just the most effective way to get there.

They should have all the mechanics but no combat and at the end of the game Cassie finds an email on a laptop: “Hey do you think this COVID thing is going to impact our recruiting?”

They’re pushing for it because if Microsoft doesn’t buy them, whatever they’re hiding that’s keeping away anybody with a functioning brain away from their executive suite is going to capsize the company, they’ll lose a fortune and at this point I’d bet money that some of them will wind up in jail.

This is just staggeringly unprofessional. Like seriously. No executive with half a brain or any sort of PR training would be doing this shit.
