Yeah what all the whining and arguing fails to consider is that this is just a tool, that's all it is, and the idea that an AI system could actually replace an artist is coder brain rot at its worst.

“Hidden from everyone? Shadow ban. Hidden from only some people? Not shadow ban. Got it?”
The merger tanking would be very bad for Kotick. Without it, he’s not only out a fortune, but he also won’t have Microsoft’s resources to hide behind and the behavior of Activision as a corporation indicates that as bad as things look now, we haven’t even seen half of the rot under this particular log.
Eh, of the first quarter of 2023 only Jedi here is a must-play on my end, have to admit. Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t look particularly interesting and it’s giving off enough smoke that I suspect it’ll be a dumpster fire when it arrives.
I disliked the boss fights; that the difficulty on those wasn’t well tuned was probably the most glaring sign of a rushed release. But overall it was a fun Souls-lite.
Let’s patch this into other games, especially ones with pompous dialogue.
Honestly all the reviews make this game sound about as fun as a sulfuric acid enema. Unless you hate Josh Duhamel.
Honestly, the first thing I do with a new AAA game on PC is immediately crank down the graphics settings, even if my laptop can easily handle them. I just don’t care enough to deal with it.
Raiden: “Nothing to see here. Get back in the car.”
Considering the utter unhinged bullshit on the game’s official Reddit, self-control left the building on launch. My personal favorite are the Poker Guys who will tell you that somebody trying to bluff you and making you sit there for two turns waiting for them to play a card before they run away clutching their…
Honestly as much as I like the Switch and this game I don’t see them being two tastes that taste great together. Even if there weren’t graphics issues, it’s really designed for a larger screen.
To be fair, third-party games are dirt fucking cheap on Switch. It’s just the first party stuff Nintendo keeps at a high price. That said, I wish their stance on older games would soften a little, or that they’d package older games with newer releases.
The tradeoff being that every game, ever, is always going to be on sale at least once a year. Plus every storefront’s got a set of games that are always going to be cheap whenever there’s a sale.
Nintendo's always been clear it sells at a profit, no loss leaders, so we can't say we weren't warned.
Where are Microsoft’s shareholders in all this? Anybody with half a brain paying attention to Activision knows they’re buying an enormous amount of legal liability for their $69 billion. None of their c-suite is capable of handling a mean tweet, forget any serious corporate responsibilities. God only knows what…
Elon Musk is an incompetent employer, something that should be abundantly obvious by this point. If you sign up with an incompetent employer, you’re gonna get some shit. That’s life, kid.
For a fair chunk of it, it’s called a phone holder.
The major outrage was around cosmetics and once people realized that only a small number of individuals even gave a shit about them in the first place, it died pretty fast.
TBH my deep-seated suspicion is the automotive industry is about to collapse, for a few reasons, but the most basic is that by 2025, there will be a “left_pad” style incident that bricks thousands of cars. The software loaded onto these smog-belching pieces of shit is never updated, they all run an OS that was issued…
I’m sure he’s very talented (and probably using Musk’s desperation to add to his resume), but also he’s setting himself up for getting roasted here.
