This. My jaw hasn’t been the same since the Betrayal of Arthas clip from WC3. The ending of Heart of the Swarm did nothing to help me pick it up again.

I’m a little more optimistic than you about the Warcraft CGI (maybe foolishly so), but other than that I agree with you 100%. The artists that Blizzard has working for them really are the best in the business. My one concern is that full length Blizzard movie would literally cost $1,000,000,000 to make.

Blizzard and Square really neck and neck when it comes to spectacular CGI quality in video games. They’re both fantastic at it, but it’s Blizzard that’s shown that their CG team is flexible. The Overwatch style is drastically different from Diablo or Warcraft.

They could have at least burnt the one that attacks children!?

I think this was a foregone conclusion; I saw this coming over half a year ago. Diablo 3 did well on console, and Activision would have to be utterly tone-deaf to keep this as PC-only when its easily configurable to consoles.

Its all about talking to your kids and being fair with them. Eventually they’ll gain access to it anyway and in the wrong context, where playing violent video games is taboo, who knows how they’ll grow up.
