I have a friend who not only texts me pointless boring stuff, but he prefaces it with “You’re going to get a kick out of this.”

How is Arsenal looking in the Europa League?

He actually tried to publish his salary earlier.

So the lesson he was taught is that watching women’s soccer is a form of punishment?

So Arsene Wenger is a man in his 60’s who likes music that was popular when he was in his 20’s and 30’s?

Truly dreadful reporting.

As far as I remember, they did the double dip release with “Sex Type Thing”. It used to get played on 120 Minutes/Alternative Nation. And the “Plush” came out and got massive. And then they started showing the video for “Sex Type Thing” again.

I like Soundgarden when they were a metal band.

but it’s largely apolitical and more about a fealty to the purity of sonic expression. But it quickly got subsumed by bullshit and copycats and became a new, superficial way of glomming onto an audience.

The lyrics to Sour Girl are pretty clear. It is about his wife leaving him. And how he made his wife miserable.

I was very much removed from the popular rock scene when Sour Girl came out. I was totally stunned when I found out it was Stone Temple Pilots. Great song with an amazing video.

I went to high school in the 90’s. And I was never really into the big rock bands of the time. I am really into 70’s glam rock for the most part nowadays. But when I look back on albums I have from the 90’s, they are all bands that either dressed in costumes or had some sort of stage show. I really loved Gwar, Rocket

Say what you will about Stone Temple Pilots, but this song is fantastic.

Yea.

Don’t forget Rocky IV

“Sue me for what” has been my go-to line for years when I have nothing else to say to somebody.

Rocky V ranks over Rocky III for one simple reason:

The night before Thanksgiving is always a huge drinking night in my family, like it is for heaps of people. I got in late on Wednesday night and did not have a chance to go out with everybody. So I ended up staying back and helping my mom clean.

The only thing that gave me hope was that the biscuits would at least go stale if they were not refrigerated. Sometimes I would get too much food and have to store it on the window sill overnight. It would still taste the same.

When I was in college, I had a connection at the Popeye’s a half mile down the road. On Sunday nights, I would buy all of the leftover food for $10 about 5 minutes before closing. And then store it in my fridge for the week. It would normally last me until Thursday.
