PalWorld just came out a few weeks ago and its success was a huge surprise to basically everybody, so there’s hardly been enough time for Pokemon to react to it in a meaningful way.

Yeah...nah.
Never mind the fact that Palworld literally came out last month, so the idea that somehow Gamefreak or TPC will be able to course correct from whatever projects they’ve been working to “respond to Palworld” is silly.
But also...I don’t think anyone really wants them to put out a product that’s in “response”…
All that I can say is that resting on one’s laurels is dangerous. Sometimes you have a literally untouchable position and you can keep churning out drivel that turns to gold. Other times you end up like Sim City, that legendary game series that people occasionally mention while enjoying Cities: Skylines.
“But Palworld is still a monster-taming game that doesn’t run at sub-30 frames per second and bugging out on the regular like Scarlet and Violet.”
Oh yay. The inflated price scam joint again. Well, at least it’s not ALSO Wata.
No, actually they don’t regardless of one’s opinions.
Most of the backlash historically was diehards, the normies didn’t care. Scarlet/Violet is the first one I heard a bunch of normies disgruntled with the game. So I do think the next one is really a test of whether the brand is made of teflon or not, assuming they don’t in fact make an actually good game instead.
“After Palworld, Pokémon Needs To Come Out Swinging”
I'd like to see Pokemon adopt a 2.5d art style. I don't really care for the full 3d thing in this case. Like a Pokemon game in the style of octopath traveller would be perfect. I knew from x and y that 3d Pokemon would be garbage and I stand by that initial assessment for every game since then. Gamefreak resisted…
When we think about it in these terms, disability doesn’t equal an impairment. It’s a mismatched interaction with a barrier, resulting in difficulty in completing a task.......consider the scenario of a deaf or hard-of-hearing player
There is nothing wrong with a game having a wide range of difficulty options.
Standards really have fallen when the only thing that matters is "more", quality and pacing be damned.
Angry comments be damned, the glacial pacing of FF7 Remake was one of its central flaws, and it sucks if it continues to plague its sequels. Pacing does matter, especially in storytelling.
man did this comment section have a gas leak or something? everyone sounds like a huge moron.
I feel like there are two things at play here regarding this.
Might be the grump in me, but I think they hope to accomplish money by making this three games. Gives me a similar vibe to turning The Hobbit into three films.
“For Rebirth, the bloat comes from a constant, inescapable barrage of mini-games”.
There are some older animated Disney titles that received blu-ray releases and were only available through the club. For a while, my wife and I were trying to maintain a complete collection of Disney’s animated theatrical releases, and Disney Movie Club was the only way to pick up a number of those on blu-ray,…
I know this was done by different writers but maybe some editorial direction would help this site maintain some kind of tonal consistency and credibility?
