This may be obvious, but I would recommend using Discord as your main communication point/hub for D&D sessions, and your DM can bring in an interactive map with virtual player and monster tokens for certain sessions or scenarios run in part through an actual VTT platform.

From the moment this story broke, it sounds like he’s going to ignore the slaps and go all in to sabotage something that hurt his feefees through his great big piles of money. It’s Peter Thiel and ....somebody... all over again, but writ large.

No worries. I just liked the joke of dismissing all games pre 2022-ish as “not so good.”

Incidentally, did you see Everything Everywhere All at Once? James Hong is ninety-fucking-three and he’s still a goddamn treasure. Plus it helps that he was in his element: playing a little basketcase on wheels.

I was being openly facetious. It’s like I tell my ex-wife: I never invest in assets I can’t see. Besides that, it’s all in the indexes.

It’s because it makes the games better. It’ll go like this:

Games before NFTs ———>Games after NFTs
         Not so good ————————->Good

You’re laughing all the way to the rug store

I knew when I made a joke about this on our TTRPG Discord months ago that it would manifest as reality some day soon...

I honestly can’t say other than it feels like it’s worse this time around. It’s probably a subjective Baader–Meinhof thing because this game is actually on my radar and I’m avoiding clicking on stuff like this until I do get it and play it.

Look, blogs gonna blog, and quasi-clickbait ephemera like this article [https://kotaku.com/devil-may-cry-dmc-capcom-japan-capsule-hotel-room-touri-1848702363] sustains me, but I also hate that wanting to make a viable living in the profession so often means churning stuff out to satisfy engagement targets, not

Not trying to pick on you in particular (and I do see the Game Diary tag here), but as someone who’s interested in the game but holding off on getting it for now, it feels like there’s this editorial blitz to capture clicks and interest while the IP is hot and relevant. It’s to the point where the content feels less

How do I dismiss replies in the greys made to other people. Asking for a friend...

I instantly grokked the ethos you were throwing out (although a detailed explanation didn’t hurt). I’m late to the smartphone game coming off an old slider phone, and one of the things I felt I was missing out on was playing Pokemon Go. So about two weeks ago I installed and enjoyed the first few sessions ok. It gave

I sense a pattern in the editorial strategy of late

“no bullshit” evidently did not preclude people (and I’m willing to bet almost exclusively higher-up people) from bringing their bullshit to work

He also goes out of his way to fact check his own stuff and retract anything that doesn’t pass muster. Imagine if everyone on social media gave enough of a fuck to not just share or spout out random unfounded shit, let alone about video games...

Not enough comments yet focusing on the fact that a four-door Porsche is a travesty and an abomination and a flagrant indication of bad taste/money wasted on the rich.
