Ok but “tribalism” is an ugly racist term rooted in colonial ignorance that any media-facing person should purge from their vocabulary, at very least when using it in this negative framing context.

I had to ponder a second, but the answer is actually easy: my OG Game Boy Advance. The lack of a backlight absolutely destroyed the playability of the thing. While playing the Game Boy Color and past gens was easier thanks to lower res blown up to a bigger screen and fewer colors, demanding clarity, the horsepower of

That was my first reaction, and I’m still going to post this gif in response

Squid fish sauce is the best equivalent, but ngl I love the handful of sauces/soup bases I have that do have actual MSG in it.

My cat used to come running to the sound of the Xbox turning on or the Super Nintendo clicking on because she knew that meant a guaranteed warm lap to sit in for the next few hours. She’ll still join me on the couch when I use the Switch Lite, but she has to rely on the leather couch noises for that.

Oh yeah ye olde dog whistle “Only cities struggle” Kidz Bop edition. All of America struggles, sweetheart, and there’s even fewer resources out in the boonies.

I remember him playing it. I was there. I’ve *always* been there.

Ok watching the video all the way through I can see that the shutters are the garage part of the house he owns across the street. That’s still not an amazing situation for insulation in that one part of the home, but better than the freestanding unit I imagined based on the gif from the header.

As a side note I fucking LOVE hearing foreign accents in languages other than English. That French host has really great Japanese inflection, but you can still hear the guttural French R (like in “rouge”) in his words.

Do they not have, like, weather in the Ibaraki province? Those shuttered storage units filled with arcade cabs look like they don’t have enough insulation to avoid condensation during extremely hot or cold days. Not a good sich for preservation. But if the weather is mild enough I suppose it wouldn’t matter

I think the big tradeoff people are missing is the time and effort it takes to scan in all these books and the storage, etc. needed for them when, in reality, only a very small population of the audience will read them. I really like your issue #1 idea, tho.

Lvl 2 Knockback Pork Sword

Goddammnit I love you now

I actually started fast forwarding through the long conversations and flashbacks and regret nothing.

I will accept a Twitter follow as a “thank you” for the news tip ;) Glad to see it came in handy.

Lol I’m just glad that I don’t live in that state of-

This is a very interesting twist on the concept because patching in just one small feature for lulz would have felt a bit hollow but in this case

*quietly leaves these here*
