Ok watching the video all the way through I can see that the shutters are the garage part of the house he owns across the street. That’s still not an amazing situation for insulation in that one part of the home, but better than the freestanding unit I imagined based on the gif from the header.

I think the big tradeoff people are missing is the time and effort it takes to scan in all these books and the storage, etc. needed for them when, in reality, only a very small population of the audience will read them. I really like your issue #1 idea, tho.
