I had a similar impression from reading this review - that the book seems shallow, more descriptive of what it means to procrastinate instead of probing the underlying dynamics. When I saw it includes corny cartoons, I knew it wasn’t for me.

I highly recommend this personal essay on procrastination published recently in the London Review of Books -

She sounds like a moron, frankly. I don’t know why she decided to spend so much time and energy trying to make this guy likable and sympathetic. She is probably trying to work out some personal issue through her film - or maybe this is just the documentary filmmaker version of being a ‘cool girl.’

So true. Maybe you have to be a certain age to realize this (and the rest of the points you make in your comments). You call them “unreformed” and I call them “unreconstructed” but you are right on the money. Its the kind of guy Norman Mailer typified.

This is good stuff, but you don't want to go stale. So - every once in a while write down a real Founding Father quote, but insist that you made it up.
