The story beats were good, but the actual execution of the story was a big whiff.

They should be easy to spot with some examination, yes. But:
‘Significant’ and ‘subtle’ are antonyms, I think.
A little off topic, but that tweet brings up a great point - Square Enix has an insane pace lately with these smaller and more interesting titles. Nintendo’s also killing it and maintaining a strong release schedule while Sony and Microsoft seem to be struggling in that regard. It makes me wonder if the fascination…
My Reading Comprehension is bad today, when they say “all platforms” did they mean its coming to like, PS4/5 or all platforms *that currently have the game*
playing on the PC is all fine I suppose, it’s whatever, but man would love it on my console too.
To me it’s not one, like, big thing, but a thousand little things, most of which don’t look too bad on their own, but come together to kill his whole vibe.
Ahem, Spider-Man was a permanent PS4 exclusive.
The entire trend of videos that are “fuck with your pet by doing X” needs to die. Some of the things are harmless but all of them encourage the attitude that pets are entertainment instead of responsibility.
Thanks for posting about this! As a sleep scientist and board-certified sleep clinician, it is always great to see this come up. There are a few things that I want to clarify from this piece, though:
It’s like going to a building that has a sign that says, “please use side door” and then complaining the building is “nearly inaccessible”
Isn’t this how all life goes? The beautiful survive and the ugly become chowder.
I would add, as a person who is generally mediocre to bad at games, play the game at the highest world tier you can for as long as you can, then turn it back down to normal when you feel like you’ve hit a wall. I played until world tier 6, which allows you to upgrade weapons up to three levels higher than your…
There are specific circumstances in the way the game ends that make this different, and while I certainly never suggested it was the only game or story to create that effect, whatever - you clearly aren’t actually interested in understanding my position and it’s not that important. I was just trying to put something…
The best part about the opening is that it completes a circle for the game’s story and your experience with it. After you beat it and experience the ending, coming back to the beginning again is so much more powerful and emotional. It’s such a simple, humdrum way to begin a story, but it is perfect for this game and…
I stopped right after the big time jump so I can tell you 100% for fact this is the exact reason why I stopped playing.
I did the same thing with the game, and I finally beat it last year during our mandated backlog catch-up time.
That’s a very subjective opinion. November alone had both Hollow Knight and Shadow of Mordor, and we’ve seen high profile and well-received sports, action, fighting, racing and roleplaying games in the past 5-6 months, not to mention Fall Guys which was a legitimate craze. It’s perfectly valid to not like them, but…
Or don’t. Deciding whether or not to have faith is a recurring part of the DAI narrative.
Baseless conspiracy theory. This unit has received one and I’ll have you know I love processing organic material for energy and converting oxygen to carbon dioxide as much as anyone. No bots here sir. - Sincerely, Hugh Mann
If you’re an artist who has inscribed your work onto another human, and that human gives rights to their likeness, that should include those tattoos as long as they are used within the scope of that likeness.
