Are those taxes less than his deductible?
I have a plain jane nav system in my 2014 4Runner, and even then I’ve mounted my phone just to the right of my vision as high as it will go without blocking any of the road and I use that for navigation instead. I can’t stand taking my eyes off the road. I miss the days when you could turn your dash lights off…
“you don’t have permission to record on private property!” Yeah buddy, call a cop and tell them you’re trying to prevent me from collecting evidence of a crime. I. F*cking. Dare. You.
I have a 1997 3/4 ton Chevy pickup with a 454 and just a Borla upgraded exhaust exiting out the passenger side. I bought that thing new. I used to give my friend a ride home late at night after work. He lived at the bottom of a steep hill in a rich part of Cambridge MA. I loved powering up that hill and setting off…
My first binge was Buffy the Vampire Slayer follower immediately with Angel. I was really sick, twice, in a month and a half and had nothing to do but sit on the couch miserable. I was a huge Firefly fan and when Buffy was big I was working so much at night I never got to watch it. So, I just watched one after the…
Yes, that’s exactly right. Cops can and do make life or death decisions anywhere and everywhere every day. Being on a “field” doesn’t mean it’s some kind of Thunderdome situation.
How is a guy in a car, deliberately hitting a guy standing there, during caution, even anything like what you’re describing? It would be more like if two NHL players were ejected from the game and one of them got in his car and tried to run the other one down.
You do know that even if guns were totally outlawed...cops would still have them...right?
A few years ago a drunk guy hit my car in a road rage incident (he thought I was in the wrong lane when we merged, turns out he was in the right turn only lane) while I was on the phone with the cops. He got 9 months for assault with a deadly weapon. This guy should have the book thrown at him.
Magical thinking at it’s worse. Maybe she’s being haunted by the ghosts of the dead un-vaccinated children whose parents believed her BS.
If I hit a cop with a car...I’m apsolutely sure I’d be getting charged with attempted murder. This is just another example of police being held to a much lower standard than the rest of us.
A couple of years ago I saw a guy driving an old Dodge Dart through a snowstorm. It was so cool to me I posted the video on You Tube;
I have a 1970 Cutlass S “Holiday Coupe” which has neither vent windows or B pillars. I love that wide open clean look especially with all the windows down. Kudos to whoever made that choice!
My Mom bought one of these new when she retired and it was the first new car she or my Dad ever bought. Hers is a seriously nice color of black (at least Toyota got that right). We still have it, although she doesn’t drive anymore. 38k miles. If the tires haden’t dry rotted they would still be on. She offered me the…
My Mom has one of these and the automatic car wash did that to her plate. She’s never hit anything with a car. I seriously doubt she’s ever even broken the speed limit.
Adjusted for inflation, that’s about $8500 more than I paid for my 2014 4Runner trail edition. Eek! It’s amazing what you can get these days.
I have a 2014 Trail I bought new just before the worse winter in New England for a while. Since then I’ve driven from Massachusetts to Michigan to The Grand Canyon to Moab Utah (did a bit of off roading there), to Leadville Colorado (some more there too) through Kansas them home through a few blizzards and down to…
If you’re only being a “nice guy” to get laid you’re doing it wrong. You should be nice to women for the same reasons you’re nice to men (assuming you’re a straight man). That works for me. It took me years to figure that out though. I wish I knew that when I was 12.
It’s also been my experience with gay men that they’re no different than straight men as far as being aggressive and not taking no for an answer. They’re still men.
I spoke with a guy once who was involved in getting the cop cars for the US version of the show Life On Mars. They decided on a years that required unique police cars. They had to scour every junkyard they could find just the get the handful of cars they could get and spent a ton of money restoring them.
