The corvettes responded just as well to the same mods. Intakes and exhausts were modified to fit the different chassis. They did very little to restrict power.

GM never really did much to detune the engines the F-bodies got, they just derated them on paper. My 99 Trans Am dynoed 298rwhp right next to a 5th gen Corvette that dynoed 301. They finally stopped doing that with the 5th gen return of the Camaro.

My prediction is that the reveal will come at either the Detroit or New York auto show next year. Until then, GM is gonna be mum about it.
