Definitely did NOT outperform the Corvette in 0-60, not even close. And if Autocross classing is any indication, they weren’t even close in cornering G’s either.

now make that a 260 mile trip to my parents at 4am. Oh, and I’m doing 85 the entire way, not 80. That’s 4 hours vs 3 hours.

We haven’t gone from 25mg to 50mpg, rather we’ve gone from 25mpg to 27mpg.

I totally get where you’re coming from here, but the reality is Average Life Speed has much more to do with the owner than with the car.

but—because the car struggles with grip and I don’t want to get pulled over—I kept the pedal at only about 50 percent until the car reached 20 mph, at which point, I romped that skinny hinged plate so hard into that damned floorboard, I’m amazed it didn’t puncture through.

I wish my ‘14 had the collar. It’s entirely possible to unintentionally shift into reverse with the push down. Not even remotely possible with the collar.

Need? Never. You don’t buy a Corvette for Needs though. You buy it for Wants.

I can assure you, from personal experience, jumping out of an airplane feels NOTHING like accelerating in a fast car. There’s simply no sensation of acceleration when skydiving. In fact, short of the wind howling around you, at 12,000 feet there isn’t even any sensation of speed. You are, after all, over 2 miles away

You haven’t been in a car with a big V8 in it recently, have you? I can still see the hood from my driver’s seat.

I’d argue vehemently against the Accord being designed for high-performance driving.

I am a regrettably passive-aggressive person by nature

The gun deescalated the situation and the guy was able to get back up.

You’re totally free to like the first one all you want, but it was definitely crap.
