The air intake goes right through the insulation. If you look closely you can seep a pipe going through and apparently into the firewall. If I had to guess I would say it’s plumbed to something well above the waterline to protect it against inhaling spray.

Hahaha nice. You got me there.

The Crosstrek is on there (twice, not sure why Eyesight is a separate category), which is basically an Impreza, which is basically a WRX (in terms of anti-theft, I would imagine). Then the stick adds more security.

I have been riding dirty with my STI since December and no plate. Did not want to drill more holes, and did not want to spend money on the tow hook holder. They pull people over and issue the tickets from the rear. The front plate will always be bullshit.

BMW’s version of Apple Car Play automatically disables your turn signals, but unless you click through 78 layers of iDrive to opt out, it subscribes you to monthly blinker fluid deliveries. Made in Germany, of course.

Yeah, that would be revolting to me, to see someone doing that. I would think they got kicked in the head by a mule or something.

The first time I arrived at the City of Tears in Hollow Knight, I just stood in place for five minutes and listened to the entire theme for that location. It’s really stuck with me ever since, and listening to the track again brings me right back to that moment. Good stuff.

That’s exactly right, and it’s that style, largely developed in games like Dark Souls, applied to the Metroidvania genre that I’m saying is an advancement of the genre.

Thanks for this, Maddy. It’s stories like yours that will—hopefully—reach some of the folks who don’t understand why representation (and accurate/positive representation) matters so much.

The vast majority of protagonists in video games are straight white dudes. I don’t have to worry about whether or not my race, sex,

A Kardashian appropriating a culture they’re not part of to generate further profit for a family “brand” that is based solely on being famous because they’re famous?

...this is my shocked face.

One day, I will understand why this family continues to be a thing. I can understand people appreciating Kanye’s music (it’s

Seems there might be a touch pad on the hatch you have to hold for ten seconds to get the trunk to release? Just did some googling cuz this seemed odd, found this response for a different new Subaru.

Your problem isn’t the PB it’s that soft white bread.  Get something with some texture and resistance.  You’ll never have it cement itself to any part of your mouth and can try any type of PB.

The wait with it out on PS4 is the hardest part!

I love that pizza is so great, it’s the thing my girlfriend’s dog protects the most. The one thing that will make him growl and snap is if you get next to her pizza, because it means you’re getting next to HIS pizza (we really do spoil the little guy).

I totally appreciate Android Auto after using it on a few rentals. Last year I added it to my fun car. It makes a world of difference. My 17 year old car has all the goodies I need in a new car.

When I bought my last new car, the infotainment manual was easily twice as big as my previous cars entire manual. I sat in the car during that awkward wait for the sales manager/finance/warranty guy and read. By the time I got all the papers signed, I knew more about the car than the guy going over the delivery check s

Turning leftover meat into tacos is one of the world’s great experiences.

This needs to go up top.  I read Arnheim’s initial comment as well, and was like, “yup, this is the correct taek to end all takes.”  Not controversial, just straight up observation of the human psyche.

I happened to see this extremely bad take. It was incredibly frustrating and disturbing. I want to quote a different commenter, who has some academic experience in these matters. This is from Arnheim:

People get so worked up about “germs”
