I tend to be conservative when advocating for EVs to avoid being accused of being subversive by some know-it-all internet commenter.

The thing is, with an EV you refuel at home and leave every day with a 100% charge - a vehicle with a 200 mile range should be more than enough for 95% of travel needs for 99% of people without ever needing fast charging.
