I need to dispute your claim that HP was the #1 hardware company. ALL of their laptops had heat management problems, and if you got anything under 15 inches, it would cook it's motherboard.

Um....those are all Japanese brands, not Chinese. Japanese have always led the technology front, China has always led the cheap labor and reverse engineering front.
