Oh thank god. I was afraid this was going to be another post about some complete douche patrol like the McCloskeys.

Killed by millennials. no doubt ;)

The all new Ronco Bronc-o-matic!

I’m guessing that the T-Bird that’s been on jacks and under a tarp for 27 years might be a bit of a red flag.

heh, I keep the lights down low on purpose because I have serious covid hair — as in I’ve had *one* haircut in CY2020

Iowa used to have inspections when a car changed hands. In the early 80's I bought a $300 ‘72 Pinto with 200,000+ miles on it. The mechanicals (lights, brakes, exhaust, no leaks, etc) were surprisingly quite easy to get into passing shape but I knew that I would not get the rust holes fixed before I need it to get to

I’m thinking his entire vacation is going to be spent under that lift.

Exactly.  If you leave because you are being asked to actually “Protect and Serve”, then you never should have been a cop in the first place.

I’m in agreement. The vast, vast majority of SRO’s have not at all lived up to their promise. So let’s admit the experiment failed and try something else (even if the only something that can happen is “no SROs”).

It’s not impossible, but it’s not that simple. Often funding for police does not come from the same place as funding for normal school staff. So just taking away that police funding doesn’t magically move it to where the school can spend it for a social worker.

This. The red-trimmed interior looks like crap with the blue exterior. Is there not a blue option?

This seems possible. My ‘87 T-bird was made near the end of the ‘87 model year run and it has some ‘88 parts on it. Was quite confusing the first couple times I bought ‘87 parts for it and found they didn’t quite work right.  Eventually, I figured out that ‘88 parts fit there.

Allegedly...

But even small amounts of thrust add up over time. In space, NASA’s used ion thrusters that barely produce enough thrust to lift four pennies, but over a long period of time changed the spacecraft’s speed by nearly 25,000 MPH”

I fully expect the appeal will fail, and then the attorney will try another one. Repeat for as long as the lawyer sees a payday (present or future).

Hence the “evidence submitted .. was legally insufficient to prove” approach.   Doesn’t matter that she’s guilty as hell, lawyers gonna lawyer.

Uh, this is what defense lawyers do, find any way possible to get their client off or off easier regardless of their guilt.

Given how 99.9% of them will be used they probably should have just called it the “Mallroad”.

I don’t know about where anyone else lives, but around here lane-keeping blows dead goats because if there is even the slightest hint of paint left, it’s too damn soon to repaint the lane markings.
