Love ‘em both, always have, though I have to admit I didn’t get a real, deep appreciation for Dr. John really until I listened to ‘Gris-Gris’ for the first time maybe 10, 12 years ago- before that he was somebody everybody from Louisiana loved as a state treasure, but I never really dug too deep into why while growing

I’m not even a fan, and I know it’s “April 26, 1992.” Come on, man.

Ha! Yeeeeeah. Sigh.

I generally agree, with a couple of exceptions.

This. I had to replace my Prius battery (not because of any particular design fault, it was damaged in an accident right after I bought it, the damage wasn’t readily apparent and gradually worsened over 5-6 years until it eventually failed) and at $4Kish that was painful enough, especially when it got hit and totaled

1st: Why not both? I mean, other than it maybe being a logistical PITA of extraordinary magnitude. A hybrid of HyEV and BEV would actually be pretty awesome if they could put both in one vehicle, and charging and fueling the infrastructure catches up to facilitate that. Also, hey Toyota: this is total Dad talk, but

̶Everything E̶V̶ ̶C̶r̶e̶d̶i̶t̶s̶ ̶ ̶ Mostly Goes Toward Rich People W̶h̶o̶ ̶W̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶B̶u̶y̶ ̶E̶V̶s̶ ̶ Anyway

Take your goddamned star...

Maybe you missed the part where a certain segment of the people want the government to provide things like education, healthcare, daycare, etc with the tax dollars they contribute, instead of providing infinite amounts of money to the military-industrial complex for wars they don’t want or subsidizing the already

We need to prime the pump. Before Newark is underwater, swathes of Jacksonville, most of coastal Louisiana, California between SF and Sacramento, Tacoma, Vancouver, OR, and before the Salton Sea swallows up Mexicali.
(Currently happens by when my children are old)

Makes my dookie twinkle!

I’m not gonna drive a large vehicle just for that alone, but +100. Around here, it seems more like the soccer mom not paying attention and driving 5 under in the left lane, but still...

seeing that ‘59 totaled bums me out, though I get the point.

Toyota keeps all their best stuff out of the US market. :/

I like any good news for the city of Detroit.

This too.

This. The Prius is actually the current best replacement for the niche the xB fit, but hybrid and isn’t boxy.

1st, Neutral: I owned a Prius for maybe 7-8 years, until it was totaled in a rear end/side collision. Once I got used to it, I loved it and eventually would probably buy another- it’s a decent balance of room and stuff-carting capacity to overall normal-car size. The newest version’s looks...ehhh. Not my favorite, but

I remember walking back to a party from Victoria Station in London ages ago, and there being a couple of Ferraris parked on the street in the swanky neighborhood said party was held. I was surprised by how...meh they were in real life. I was more surprised that people were street parking them than impressed. I always

Dude...this has been one of my favorite stories of any kind to follow in recent memory. Glad you made it there and back safely!
