the OG xB was pretty much an Echo inside, and it’s my favorite car ever.

Outside of cars, this whole issue just kinda makes me sad that most people have no inclination to repair things themselves anymore, and a lot of stuff is disposable crap now anyway.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that.

This legit just made me snort. Take your star.

I’ve been curiously following the whole Ghosn scandal since it broke. I have no stake or even real opinion, but I kinda can’t look away. I have to admit, though- this sort of makes the whole “Carlos got whacked” theory seem a bit more plausible. Who TF doesn’t know about their OTHER three jet aircraft?

“I don’t think there’s that much value in the Power Wall/Solar Roof products, but that and the battery production could be spun off or sold.”

Aldous Harding is great. Looking forward to this one. Pretty much everything Parish is involved with is great.

That’s just the thing, isn’t it? Like a handful of other bands of the day, a lot of the catalog just doesn’t hold up once you’re, y’know, grown up.

I hafta say, the ‘70s Fenders I own are great. One of them is painfully heavy, but it’s great. The ‘70s Fender hate is largely undeserved imho; I actually wrote an article about this once.

...and Polly is one of the few people who began around that time still making great, relevant music now. There’s her and... I dunno? Nick Cave?

This, pretty much exactly.

I dunno, but the video this led me to of the guy hooning an electric Smart just kinda made my morning, so thanks!

For me at least, by the time Alanis was a thing, there was already PJ Harvey, so yeah. I mean, after “Dry”, “You Oughta Know” just feels...I dunno, weak. Ymmv.

1st Gear: One of the beautiful things about Stanford is, if you’re admitted, you go regardless of finances these days. So, on some level, you can kinda look at as though Nissan paid tuition for 4 kids who otherwise wouldn’t have afforded it, in some roundabout way. If they knew they were doing this when they hired
