What a shame this is the review we get in place of an episodic recap for this show. I have to think it’s shortsighted—there’s not a lot of shows on now that people care about (beyond hate talking about—I’m not even sure anyone is hate watching—The Idol). I like The Righteous Gemstones but this show is, by  far IMO,

Ok, what’s up with Jamie Foxx? I liked Day Shift.

Watch the video, no way NASA made that thing. Maybe they had an ex-NASA employee build it. If you google images of NASA building stuff for critical applications, they do it all in a clean room and everyone is wearing clean room attire. Any contaminants that get into a critical pressure vessel like this such as dust,

Ahh, this harkens back to the good ol’ days when suicidal people didn’t pick up a gun and take several people with them.

Yet another non article about Foxx’s health.

Incorrect use of “begging the question” doesn’t top my list of grammatical peeves, but it’s on there.

I get a very distinct feeling that Stockton Rush sees himself as analogous to Elon Musk. I’d wager he thought that in a similar stroke of genius to inventing reuable rockets, he could drastically reduce the operational costs of luxury submersible businesses to make it “accessible” in the same way. Cylinders can take huge pressures I’ve worked on a cylinder rated to 6600 psig (internal pressure) that was a LOT bigger than this thing. Maybe a smaller diameter, but a heck of a lot longer. The secret is that the cylinder has to be thick as hell. Generally speaking, the cylinder has to be twice as thick as the

All plants contain sugar - that’s what photosynthesis is, turing CO2 into sugars. It might be a miniscule amount, but there is definitely sugar in there.

Also, meat doesn’t contain sugar, but I’m sure you don’t leave your raw chicken out to let the sun cook it. Once again, the equation is not sugar+bacteria, it’s

Kenji Lopez-Alt actually did a comparison study of different techniques for making sun tea and was able to show that:

Came here to say pretty much this. I’ve been making sun tea for decades and never once had bacterial growth. Use a clean jar, clean water, don’t add sugar and you’ll be all good.

Interesting, I had heard of one risk for iced tea, and that is in foodservice. If they don’t clean it properly or the ice machine is contaminated it can provide a suitable habitat for coliform or some other bacteria (this was decades ago) even without the presence of sugar. It likely is one of those scenarios where it

They’ve slowly started to air some of their Hulu shows on FX. Under The Banner of Heaven and The Patient aired earlier this year. Reservation Dogs (season 1) will air in a month or so.

I’m not usually one of the people in the comments, braying about how far the AVClub has fallen, but...this review is almost unreadable. It’s so, so overwritten. Like, to the point that the only possible reasons are that:
