Anyone who thinks JJ Abrams is to blame for the problems of the Trek Franchise needs to be reminded that Nemesis happened.

This show removed any doubts I had left by the end of last season. At this point, I’m just gleefully sitting back and waiting to see where they go next. I thought this was the best network show of last year, and I can’t even express how happy I am that it’s back relatively early in the fall schedule.

Side note: I guess

Alex probably won’t want to write many more articles like this when he finds out I turned his article into a direct-to-video movie. Now excuse me while I write a scene for my current girlfriend, who will be listed in the credits as “topless commenter #3".

Yeah, this about sums it up. Great job Alex- I enjoyed this article about the trainwreck of this movie more than I enjoyed the movie. It is one of my bucket list wishes to be featured on AV CLub- albeit in a positive way, but, oh well, we take what we can get. Maybe one day I will return, to be proud of my write-up on

Kristen Bell and Ted Danson deserved nods, and the show itself DEFINITELY should have a nom over the criminally undeserving dreck that Modern Family has become.

That final twist largely worked because of Danson’s performance. He was great throughout the season but the reveal really let him shine in a whole different way.

No Tatiana Maslany for Orphan Black’s final season, either. But that’s got to be a timing thing, right?

Having just finished The Good Place, holy shit did Ted Danson deserve at least a nod.

I agree - though I lack much knowledge of their many new ‘sister sites.’ The layout that they all appear to use, however, is just unbearable. I don’t understand why a site would be designed in a way that actually purposefully minimizes the number of stories we can click on and which makes it extremely difficult to

I guess I can kind of see that. I have more trouble seeing how that boy from the IT movie somehow ages into Bobby Moynihan. I’m now going to be distracted at how totally different physically those three look from each other.

Agreed. It seems like there are fewer articles I want to read, which isn’t actually the case. Also, I really think this website was better and had a better comment section with Disqus. I miss being able to click a comment and going right to the comment, not the article the comment was posted to.

And if there is an uncomfortable silence, Lyanna Mormont pops in to tell them why they will never be like the North.

Can we get one of the GOT spinoffs to be just Olenna Tyrell and Tywin Lannister in a room, at opposite ends of a long table, trading barbs?

Now playing

Let’s all have a moment of silence and then....

Oh crap, so S3 ends on a cliffhanger then, like both of the previous seasons? Fantastic. Bleh.

“It’s doing pretty well. Solid cast and script with a multi-season plot arc to keep the series moving forward.”

Marc Bendavid’s character was killed years ago. If you’re going to report on the show, you should at least be somewhat current.

This is too bad. Dark Matter was fun. I loved the cast. When my girlfriend watched she said (derisively) that it “was like super-Star Trek.” I responded, “I know, that’s why I love it.”

SPOILERS

I got my mourning for the show out last night and while normally I’d be inclined to question why this news (which was announced before the Killjoys renewal) is only now making it to the AVC but instead I’ll point out that this show also starred Jodelle Ferland who was the star of the great and underrated Tideland (as
