Tesla began getting bigger and bigger chunks of sweet cash in 2018 by selling carbon credits, a market created by government socialism, by doing absolutely nothing that they weren’t doing anyway. $1.78 Billion last year. That’s been handy.

I think you’re missing the biggest reason for fewer pedestrian fatalities: the fact that the whole of Hoboken is completely gridlocked virtually 24/7 thanks to these changes. So cars aren’t going fast enough to hurt someone.
Can I get 10k off with the stock rims?
None of the reporting on this has year/make/model. :( How am I to judge?
I go with..”Don’t try to sell me anything, I won’t buy it.”
Not sure about those numbers, but dark tinted front side windows are not only generally illegal but a clear indication of a low class criminal type inside.
It’s pretty much the last manual “luxury” car you can buy (yes, scare quotes because it’s just a gussied up Civic). It’ll probably be my next ride. I can’t hate it, even if, for purely irrational reasons, I’d have been happier if it wore the sedan body style.
The Integra one is so weird. It is objectively better than a Civic in several ways that people normally pay for. It’s literally the reason luxury brands like Buick and Cadillac, let alone Acura and Lexus, exist.
I would actually expand the Trumper Sticker vehicles to any car with the rear covered in bumper stickers. Special hatred goes out to people that have 13.1 or 26.2 stickers. Are you driving around hoping that when you stop, someone will randomly come up to you and start talking about marathon running?
Project Farm did a comparison of the Harbor Freight Daytona Jack and the Arcan Jack. The Daytona Jack is every bit as good as the Arcan and is the #1 recommended jack. Build quality and parts are the same as the Snap on Jack which is built in the same factory on the same production line, with different stickers.
I’m not sure you’re asking the right question... the average number of miles per day matters less than the *maximum* number of miles one needs (or wants) to be able to drive. For example: I drove from Minneapolis to Lincoln this past weekend... 400 miles or so. That pushes the boundaries of most EVs. The limited…
Yeah, we can’t have anyone calling out a scam artist, con-man, and his followers’ undying love for the man and his cons, because that’s “being a contrarian”.
“How’s your extensive survey of EV charging coming along?”
I certainly had that problem at the last hotel I stayed in. There’s 2 chargers but only one parking spot (unless you park in the handicapped space), and it kept getting filled by various Jeep Wrangler 4xE hybrids that probably only take an hour to charge but would leave themselves plugged in overnight, so I would snag…
I love EVs and I do think we should work on building up the charging infrastructure to enable a full transition to them, but I do think PHEVs are the way to go for pretty much everyone in the immediate future.
A significant cause of pedestrian deaths is a driver yielding their right of way to a j-walker, and the driver behind them wondering why this bozo randomly stopped (because there’s no marked crosswalk) and swerving around them at full speed. Depending on the state, the stopped driver may have liability exposure.
Can you just use your right of way?
As a SCM for 12 years you’re not wrong...
Exactly this. The Yukon Denali is for people with money who don’t want to tell you about while the Cadillac is for the people who want to tell you how much money they have. I’ve gotten a few people to look up the MSRP when I tell them the F250 King Ranch with extended bed in my neighbor’s driveway is probably the most…
If you look closely, there was a pelican on the grassy knoll.
