loan originations in the US hit a record $734bn in 2021, according to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Better to sell them to other billionaires and use the proceeds more efficiently to help victims.

Why would you ignore Middlesex, the largest county and obviously metro Boston

This is all true, as long as you are over 35 and white.

Norfolk and Sufolk counties add up to 1.5 million. Not 5 million. To get to 5 million you need the whole “metro area,” which includes Worcester and Providence.

I want to live an alternate life where I’m a food anthropologist who finds all the shit people like that is a side effect of something dumb but we like because we’re used to it.

You see forbidden love and mythical rivalry. All I see is 4 too many doors.

The worst part about Massachusetts is easily that minority of people in Boston and the South Shore think that they’re the entirety of the state.

The fact that Rte 3 doesn’t have a 75 MPH speed limit is insane. Three lanes, straight as an arrow, infinite visibility, and an average left lane speed of 80 when not bumper-to-bumper. 55 is bullshit.

Every state has the same toxic driver problem. Slower drivers who don’t move as far right as possible - either intentionally or through obliviousness.

Thank you for the reminder of why I hated working at McDonalds.

That whole first paragraph is what happened with me as well. I reserved on the first day, and picked the Ford dealership 2 miles up the road. I’m number 13 out of 166 reservations at a small town dealer. But they have a rep for not charging ADM - unlike every other dealer around here - so I guess that’s expected.

Call me when they bring back Arch sauce and do an Arch Deluxe re-release. Other than that I’m not going to McDonalds.

Huh. Yeah, I didn’t get one of those either. Not going to get my hopes up that I still have a chance at 2022 though....

You’ve effectively nuked the joke from orbit. Good job!

Huh. I also have a reservation, from within the first 3 hours, and I still don’t have an e-mail about anything other than the initial confirmation, and a credit pre-approval.

A cyclist in DC doing something useful for a change instead of grouchily running down pedestrians on sidewalks?

You’d think of all the places in the world New York would have a state-of-the-art traffic violation system
