Nope otheriwse I would have said that. He took the characters out of there stories and used them in different ways. He didn't change the stories. It's not even a subtle difference so I'm suprised you missed it.

Yeah it's the one thing I'll give the film credit for.

It's pretty simple. He didn't change the stories that were already told he took the characters and used them to interrogate the cultural and political and philsophical ideas of the times in which the characters lived. Whereas after Hollywood had fucked over his actal stories he decided to not take money for them.

Even the usually brilliant Sean O'Neal fucked up on that one.

That it was the best thing Lost had going for it just shows how shit everything about the show was. Sayid's character was changed for no reason and having his soul mate be Shannon instead of his Iraqi wife was straight up bullshit. Then there's Jin and Sun not giving a fuck about their child. Everyone else is largely

Do you hate the gaping festering neck wound you have? Good news we can replace it with a broken collar bone and no pain meds.

And also "be a good person but make sure you do it 100%" cf Chuck using the law as a cloak to mask his self righteousness.

In a lesser show Howard would be a preening asshole but he's not he's a very good friend and boss who happens to have the trappings of a lesser show's asshole character - good looks, money and power.

Indeed, Howard's a decent guy who cares/d about Jimmy, Kim and of course Chuck. Sure he's privileged as hell and as the Bar hearing revealed, very fortunate to be in charge of HHM solely because of his father but that doesn't make him a bad person at all. Yes the send off he gave Chuck was pretty vicious but Chuck had

I think Gus is probably quite pleased with the outcome or will be once they find out Hector is permanently out of the game. Gus is entirely innocent and blameless, there's a low level guy who the cartel can take out if they realise it wasn't an accident and Gus just stands back and reaps the fruits of Nacho's labour.

The last ep of season 4 was such immeasurable bollocks I just can't be arsed with it anymore. A series with 1 and a half good episodes 6 years ago isn't anything anyone should give a shit about.

Fair point.

I would, caveat that if you don't read Lovecraft because of his bigotry Lumley's stuff while not being anywhere close to Lovecraft's it still very much of it's time and creator. That being the 70's and him being a 50yr old former army seargeant. So women are seen as needing to be protected and a bit "flighty" and some

I feel like they learned exactly the opposite of what you want them to have learned.

it as least kept it's head down a touch in the 90's

Well white fear and xenophobia are back in fashion.

Stop giving them ideas (I bet you they've already decided to do that anyway).

Bait and swtich!

Someone just make a Necroscope TV series already. Please. You cut out the 70's racism and homophobia and sexism (which is basically all in the description of the characters rather than the actions anyway) and you have something tailor made for a small but terrifying first season with scope to go as big as you like if

No chance theyll pander to the creepy as fuck tumblr shippers fandom as much as possible. It's the only way Sherlock gets any praise.
