Here’s a fun story.

$30 Billion Gateway tunnel project to keep a major corridor working > $30 Billion for a useless wall that can be defeated by drones, shovels and ladders

Because Chris Christie killed the ARC project.

Oh come on. This is a guy who wants to spend billions on a wall on the Mexican border that won’t do anything.

Spoken like someone who doesn’t know jack or shit outside of their own little podunk town.

Well now, you don’t need to walk. You can always hop on your horse and carriage.

This is what these tunnels look like:

Christie killed it 7 years ago. So only NY has been behind it for 7 years.

You know it is bad when your own employees are finding out about company announcements through the press.

Why are we incapable of having self-sustaining individual transit in this country? Roads are MASSIVELY subsidized through general revenue taxes, and we complain about a little bit of funding for mass transit which reduces the need for more subsidies for roads?

Know this: it could have been a good eight years closer to completion as I type this.

A similar project was starting about eight years ago when Chris Christie killed it.

Sure thing, Kellyanne

member how everybody had an aneurysm over the previous administration “deceiving the public” through “false narratives” about Benghazi, and how Congress investigated that for years?

Because he was out-voted 9 to 1 in his home borough.

$30B is for the whole gateway project, which involves completely redoing the whole alignment from Newark all the way to Penn Station. Lots of new bridges and new track. Various places where they need to buy land for new rights of way. Building the new tunnels and refurbishing the two old ones is currently expected to

This presidency is a fucking slow disaster every goddamn day. I’ll never forgive the people who put this motherfucker in office.

They already do that. The big programs are already spending money whoever they can to get a competitive edge. That money just goes to anything and everyone except the actual players who win the games.

Schools are paying coaches $9 million per year. I don’t think we’re talking about anything new here. Hell, the football stadium has the potential to completely end athletics at Cal.

I got tuition reimbursement and a yearly stipend as a master’s student in geology. I sure as hell wasn’t making the school any tangible money or press compared to these athletes. I was a student, researcher, and employee. I don’t see why it’s so hard for someone to be a student, athlete, and employee.
