I hated MM because it super glued women into the worst stereotypes. Be skinny. Be pretty. Laugh at his jokes. Etc.

My cat is an escape artist and I have spent many hours of my life calling her name through the neighborhood streets with tears streaming down my face like the deranged cat lady that I am. So I find myself, for the first time in my life, shockingly sympathetic towards Bloom and Perry.
One thing this ongoing car wreck of a story is teaching me is that it’s totally possible for both sides to be scumbags. It’s not an either/or proposition.
Has anybody checked Rachel Bloom’s shed?
I agree that bigotry must be called out.
He also dusted off that old favorite, the M-13 gang.
I just read an utterly fascinating book called The Skies Belong To Us, about skyjacking and the first and only successful transcontinental skyjack. It was undertaken at least partly out of the skyjacker’s desire to rescue Angela Davis from her murder trial.
Even for those who follow Mr. Trump regularly and understand his shorthand, it became challenging to follow his train of thought
“The house was going to be totally ransacked and probably burned down”
I used to do this all the time when I was younger in the pre-social media era, and was thinking about starting it up again. 100% agree with you on the benefits. It’s harder to find the time as an adult, though.
When my father-in-law began to show the outward signs of dementia the kids and their partners had a family meeting. We decided that in order to protect his dignity, we’d make sure someone would accompany him and run almost like cognitive interference for him. We could tell when he was going to say something either out…
Unfortunately - Yes, that was Acosta’s reply to Cooper: https://disrn.com/news/cnns-jim-acosta-we-are-down-to-kool-aid-drinkers-and-next-of-kin-here-at-the-trump-white-house
Conservatives love talking about freedom of speech but they don’t actually care for it. They want to live in a safety bubble where no one ever tells them they’re wrong.
The irony is he’s sooooo quick to accuse Biden of cognitive dysfunction.
I sat through yesterday’s “press conference” (filtered through the humor of Hal Sparks). It was a rally speech, complete with pauses for applause (that didn’t come) and questions posed to an audience that wasn’t responding. There were several instances of “Don’t you think that’s ____” and then he’d wait, but there was…
Question: “Why are so many black people still dying at the hands of police in America?”
Yes it took years of retraining my own thought patterns. I would see articles about black men being shot and and immediately think “well what were they doing wrong”. I still catch myself thinking it sometimes and have to call myself on it, because the idea that cops are the good guys is SO deeply ingrained.
We have an incoherent, feeble-minded nincompoop running the country in the middle of one of the greatest crisis’s in the countries history. He doesn’t know how to change directions, he just doubles down on racism and division. This will only get worse and will make his responses worse. The old proverb is true:
To even go further...when I was on a jury, one of the jurors believed that because the defendant was arrested, he must’ve been doing something illegal.
Y’all, if you’re lip balm obsessed (like me) and find that they wear off too quickly, try a lanolin-based nipple cream. I started putting it on my lips out of laziness/necessity when I was trapped under a nursing/sleeping baby, and many years later, buy it solely for that purpose. It lasts forever—really stays on your…
