The WS tires have better snow and ice performance. The LM tires are a bit more of a sport winter flavor. Both lines have been around for a while with the LMs mostly being built in Europe and the WS in Japan. (Not that being built in one versus the other is inherently better, just saying as an FYI). But yeah, for the

Lucky you. I don’t remember my initial application in 2018 being particularly lengthy, but my renewal has been pending review for 3 months now. Doing some research it sounds like the approval times can vary wildly.

My MIL’s RX also has the haptic mouse thing. I kind of like playing around with it. Not sure I’d want it in my daily driver, but I think it’s pretty nifty.

Remote start gets filed with heated seats and heated steering wheels as “Things I didn’t think I’d care about but now love”

I’ve only seen one on the streets, but it was before the car was actually launched and it had manufacturer plates on it (I live near the Nissan North American HQ).

Maybe they came back around the last couple years, but I had an Apple leather case for my 12, and I thought it sucked. It was super disappointing after the leather case I had for my old 8+. That one felt like real leather and developed a nice patina. The leather case for the twelve was plasticky. If they were still

Assuming this is real, it sounds less like they’re falling for it and more like they’re being strong armed.

I have a friend that very much fits the road rager story. We were childhood best friends and he was always the nicest guy. We drifted apart a bit in high school (ran in similar circles but didn’t do much 1 on 1 hanging anymore). I rode with him once for a quick ride across town probably senior year, and he about gave

I’m surprised with your comments on the E30 M3. I’ve never driven one, but I feel like I’ve heard they’re a blast.  Not super fast or anything, but more of a Miata like pureness.  Maybe I heard wrong?

I’m starting to think this Elon guy might not be that great.

“electrical work” is pretty broad. I’ve changed out outlets, switches, light fixtures. Not difficult stuff just be absolutely sure you flip your breaker off.

One can understand the math and still think the CEO having the “good for me but not for thee” mentality is a bad look.

As stupid as it is, I’m sure another insurance company would value your AAA rating more (at least for a couple years).

Kind of makes me think that corner did get messed, but he doesn’t want to admit it for reasons.

Love that umbrella storage

The white SUV in the gif above was obviously going way too fast for the conditions and is an asshole for endangering others on the road, but what a save.

FWIW, I find posts like this FAR more useful and enjoyable than the normal monthly round-ups of comings and goings. A little more detail on streaming shows/movies potentially worth watching is a lot nicer than a description-less list of dates and titles, most of which are probably pretty poor, with very little to call

Follow-up: I texted my wife that hillclimb video, and I could hear her visceral reaction from the other room. “Why would he do this?” “Why would anyone let him do this?” “No, no, nope, ahhhh!”.

Mt Washington was going to be my answer too. Honestly I’ve probably had more dangerous weather related drives, but on road alone, it’s definitely a bit harrowing. It’s not any too wide and if a car is coming the other way and you’re in the outside lane, it can result in some seat creasing. My wife, who is not a fan of

I jumped ship when Apollo went down. I’m kind of tempted to try this extension, but you have a point.
