Yeah, that’s definitely fair. The thing about Atlanta for me, is that there’s kind of a method to the madness. Like, once you figure out what to expect with the traffic and drivers, it’s easier to navigate. I live in Nashville now, and I’m sure there’s some selective memory at play, but I honestly think I often

Another anecdote: a friend of mine drives and street parks an ND Miata (or at least he used to street park it). He woke up one day to find the hood dented and the soft top damaged. He was parked right in front of his town home, so he checked his doorbell cam, and some drunk asshole decided to walk right over the top

I would argue hot hatches and similarly small sports cars/sedans are the perfect city car. Quick acceleration makes a world of difference in navigating busy surface streets. I lived in Atlanta for a stretch and the WRX I drove at the time was perfect. Small enough to manage tight parking spots and peppy enough to

Ah darn. But yep, that scene exactly. Basically he just answers everything they ask with “I don’t answer questions” until they go away.

Granted, not the US (and fictional), but I always appreciated this scene from Mr. Inbetween.

Minor nit: there is such a thing as an “assault rifle”. Neither of the above guns fit the description (i.e. neither have select fire modes, they’re both strictly semi-automatic). I think what you meant to say is “assault weapon”, which is the term that certain powers applied to the AR-15 and not the Mini 14 and is

My old boss drove a Focus ST with Recaros for a couple years. I rode in the passenger seat once for, fortunately, a very short trip, and couldn’t believe how far I was away from fitting in those seats. This is almost certainly exaggerated by my memory, but I feel like the middle of my butt wasn’t even touching the

Looks like the auction already started?

I feel like I’ve become overly sensitive to business jargon. Anytime someone slips into MBAese and starts talking about “being nimble” orparallel paths” it totally breaks any focus I had on the subject at hand.

Maybe this is why David Fincher wanted to take a break from Mindhunter.

They still make ungodly amounts of money, so we know they’re still being watched. I think they’re planning 2 more movies (10 and 11), so I doubt a director dropping off is going to cause the studio to cancel them. After all, you don’t turn your back on FAMILY.

Just one point, Carmax was also likely paying more the the cars on the front end (by evidence of the high trade-in values people were receiving over the last year or so). So while I have no doubt the average car sold for $8k more, their profit likely wasn’t $8k per car (although still likely up overall).

I’ve always been so tempted to do this, but have never taken the necessary steps. As someone with long legs, it takes effort (not much but it adds up on long flights) to keep my knees in the confines of my seat area.  I love the idea of being able to fully relax without worrying about invading my seat neighbor’s

Same basic idea, but unless I’m flying overseas, I tend to just download movies/shows that I’m interested in watching to my phone before a flight. Generally more than I know I’ll have time for so I have options depending on my mood. I find I like the ease of just using my Bluetooth headphones that are already linked

Actually now that you mention it, I’d be shocked if she isn’t seen driving the new Z car.

Pretty sure they knew what they were doing with saying “fasten your seatbelts” in the tweet.  That punny title had been making the rounds on the internet for awhile.  Seems like they were winking at that with the tweet.

Trying to listen to 100 gecs is definitely one of those “I’m getting old” reminders.

I don’t know man, have you driven a Caravan? My wife’s car is in the shop for awhile while they wait on a wiring harness that’s in supply chain hell, and the first rental they provided for us was a 2019 Dodge Caravan. There’s no doubt it was a base model, but it felt like a base model that was built 10 years ago.

Has the Hans Zimmer/BMW electric car sound collaboration hit the market yet? That dude is an award winning machine.
