Same basic idea, but unless I’m flying overseas, I tend to just download movies/shows that I’m interested in watching to my phone before a flight. Generally more than I know I’ll have time for so I have options depending on my mood. I find I like the ease of just using my Bluetooth headphones that are already linked

Actually now that you mention it, I’d be shocked if she isn’t seen driving the new Z car.

Pretty sure they knew what they were doing with saying “fasten your seatbelts” in the tweet.  That punny title had been making the rounds on the internet for awhile.  Seems like they were winking at that with the tweet.

Trying to listen to 100 gecs is definitely one of those “I’m getting old” reminders.

I don’t know man, have you driven a Caravan? My wife’s car is in the shop for awhile while they wait on a wiring harness that’s in supply chain hell, and the first rental they provided for us was a 2019 Dodge Caravan. There’s no doubt it was a base model, but it felt like a base model that was built 10 years ago.

Has the Hans Zimmer/BMW electric car sound collaboration hit the market yet? That dude is an award winning machine.

I’m all about the “friction free route” idea. My office is in a downtown metro area, and there are a few ways to get to the interstate I need to be on. The fastest ways tend to involve tricky merges or awkward traffic patterns (the fastest way that Google Maps/Waze recommends involves a merge that street signage

I don’t think they do. There’s certainly a subset that likes them, but if you spend any time in classic car circles or forums, for any 1 person who likes them, you’ll find 20 that loathe them.

I don’t think you’re going to be crucified for this. The whole point of this article is that they suck. The car was arguably cool when the movie first came out. It’s aged poorly though, and the prevalence of janky looking replicas has killed any lasting appeal.

Yeah I remember a few years after these came out thinking I could try to scoop up a used one for a decent price due to them not being that popular.  Nooope.

I find “Fast & Furious” (the 4th movie) to be the biggest slog. I don’t think 2 Fast or Tokyo Drift were necessarily good movies, but they were at least fun. F&F was like the beginning of them refocusing the series, but I don’t think the reinvention really landed until Fast Five. F&F was just kind of forgettable and

I’m pretty sure I commented similarly in the question post, but Cars 2 is batshit insane. Cars(1) and Cars 3 have relatively simplistic plots. Cars 2 is about a tow truck who unwittingly helps MI6 foil the plot of an oil tycoon (posing as a solar powered car) who is trying to destroy the perception of alternative fuel

Watch The Nice Guys (great movie all around, but he’s particularly hilarious in it). Gosling is a fine actor, he just does a lot of stoic roles (Drive, Blade Runner 2049, First Man).

Cars 2 is straight-up bonkers.

Bravo on the restraint here.

I think Semantle can be kind of fun when the word is a noun, but that fact that it can be any part of speech makes some days a nightmare. I played for around a week and I think got to the right answer (before giving up) maybe twice. I also just found the hot or cold to be kind of worthless (and pretty questionable)

Am I missing the joke or was it an accident that you put the lyrics for “Born to be Wild” under the video for “Life is a Highway”? I’m assuming it’s a joke that just went over my head (much like the Rascal Flats version being featured).

Maybe this is universal, but I’ve noticed it mostly driving in the south: People who turn their emergency blinkers on while driving in inclimate weather. I get in concept it adds more visibility to your vehicle in heavy rain/snow, but if you’re doing it while sitting in traffic, especially at night, you’re an

Pretty good write up, but a few points/clarifications for the “other info”:
