I don’t think you’re going to be crucified for this. The whole point of this article is that they suck. The car was arguably cool when the movie first came out. It’s aged poorly though, and the prevalence of janky looking replicas has killed any lasting appeal.

I went and found the footage without the commentary and it’s still pretty damn boring. Was hoping for at least a small stretch of low stakes chase shenanigans, but it’s essentially just a slow follow from the gate to the tram.
