Is this just a general condemnation of the CUV trend?  Because otherwise I don’t get it.

Good suggestion! We used the bags for awhile but honestly they seemed to take longer than desired to compost themselves (and they were still kind of a drippy mess). Now that we’ve abandoned them, I’ve definitely had the issue of getting everything out of the container into the bin. This makes a ton of sense, and I

2 door vs. 4 door, RWD vs. AWD, newish engine vs. ancient one

Need to add Trash Truck to this list. Stumbled across it on Netflix when looking for toddler options. It is straight up delightful. Nice animation, enjoyable characters (i.e. none of them are grating), and the sound/music is just generally chill. The episodes are usually 10-12 minutes and wholesome without being

To a point. I know I was toying with the idea of a ‘00s Lexus LX470 for my primary car a couple years ago, but commuting back and forth to work at something like 13 mpg combined quickly squashed that desire. On the flip side I’ve never owned a car rated over 30 mpg. Basically bad fuel economy can be a detractor, but

I mean, I get it, but my brain did not like this title.

Are there any aftermarket HUDs that are worth a damn? I really enjoy the handful of times I’d driven a car with one, but having a HUD has not been a factory option on any car I’ve owned.

Maybe back to its roots in that it’s a sport sedan that’s actually desirable and nice to look at.

I guess because when people are referring to you they’ll know how to? Pronouns are very ingrained in our speech (probably just as much as calling someone by their name), so it doesn’t seem unreasonable to give people a heads up.

I feel like with most these things, by the time the national news cycle picks it up, it’s too late for anyone looking to get rich quick (e.g. GME). Not saying it’s too late to invest/gamble, but anyone thinking they’re going to be another person making 1000% gains is probably going to be disappointed.

I’m tempted to Opel or Vauxhallize the exterior of my TourX. I can’t decide if still having the Buick badge on the steering wheel would bother me or not though.

I feel like I’m usually fairly unbothered by the slideshow format. Especially when it’s actually something like interesting stories/anecdotes from readers. But even I think this one is a bit much.

It looks good. I spotted a newer TLX A spec in the wild a few weeks ago and it looked really good and fairly unique. I imagine the Type S will have details that make it even better looking.

Just curious, do you mean solar roof panels in general, or specifically solutions like Tesla where the whole roof is a solar panel?

Used car market is nuts. I got my 2012 G37 sedan appraised through CarMax back in January for $7k. Didn’t end up buying then, so I held on to it.  Got it appraised through CarMax again last week (albeit a different location) for $9.5k. Was a pleasant surprise and a nice increase on my down payment for a TourX.

My trick was to just have a good center channel speaker and embrace the loud booms. I didn’t really have much trouble with the dialogue, but I also had the house to myself and new speakers I was looking to christen. I imagine I would have been all over the volume controls throughout if I was watching on built-in TV

For wall mounted TVs (or other wall mounted things that need power), I’m a big proponent of “power bridge” solutions. It’s against code to just drop a power cord down inside of a wall, and these are a great work around. Still require you to cut some holes in your drywall, but in the end it’s a very tidy install.

1st gear: I finally watched Long Way Up and it made me care about a Harley Davidson for the first time in ages (maybe ever?). From the sound of it though, that’s kind of the opposite of what influenced their recent positive results.

You trying to tell me Senna wouldn’t have been able to finesse a chonky steering wheel?

As a parent of a toddler, color of swimsuit from a safety perspective has never even occurred to me. Guess I’ll be favoring those neon colors a bit more next time I’m in the market for swim trunks. Thanks!
