I enjoyed that, as a non-rider, it took me until the 5th picture to understand what I was looking at. You might read that as sarcasm, but it’s the little things (in this case a mystery) that get through the day now.

Yeah, and especially if you’ve been burned in the past, I get why you might have some certain “rules”.

I don’t like what the conversation devolved into below, but I’m kind of baffled by your take on this, and just feel the need to clarify that I’m understanding you correctly.

Probably depends on your definition of boonies and the region of the country you’re looking at, but this seems super doable in most non-major metropolitan cities in the south and midwest.

I was pretty surprised that the BFG didn’t show as an option for you at Tire Rack (because I know they sell them), so i did a little snooping around. I think the reason they didn’t show is because they don’t technically have the same load rating. A euro-metric 215/60R15 carries a 94 load index where as the P-metric

There are a few details I find a little questionable, but that interior (minus the steering wheel):

I can’t really work effectively while also paying attention to a podcast, so without a commute these days, my podcast listening has fallen off a cliff. I still do some listening when running errands and such, but that’s about it these days.

For sunglasses, a friend of mine turned me onto Goodr. I had been wearing Ray ban Wayfarers for probably a decade, but having a toddler has kind of given me pause with buying expensive, easily breakable, everyday things. I think a pair of Goodr wayfarer style sunglasses runs $25 and a slightly larger version can be

Yeah, definitely a potential drawback. And honestly, if I did need it again, I highly doubt I could find another car I’d like as much for the same money, not to mention the peace of mind I currently have from driving a car that I’ve put the majority of miles on.

I was just mulling over the idea of selling my daily driver this morning. My wife has a new, reliable family hauler. And I have a classic car that, with just a little work, would be plenty suitable for driving around town. Now that I’m not driving to work every day, that daily driver doesn’t seem quite as important.

Yeah, I had similar issues on my company laptop. Pulled it up on my phone no problem though.

Not gonna lie, it’s definitely worked on me. My first smart phone was an early Motorola Droid that ended up being super glitchy and annoying the second year I had it. Decided to try something different the next round and got an iPhone. Didn’t have any real problems with it and am still using an iPhone something like 4

I have no idea if this is holds up to scrutiny, but the first thing that popped to mind about the “you can still smell a fart” thing is from the Judd Apatow movie Knocked Up. In it a few of the characters get pink eye because they farted on each others pillows, with the clarification that you have to do it bare-assed

If you think you have plague, please, seek medical care.

Really wanted to do this when we moved into a new house around a year and half ago, but unfortunately wasn’t able to get it done before move in. Still holding out hope that once I get a little more wall organization done (i.e. getting stuff off the floor) that I’ll get around to it.

Hopefully the change to drive on public roads for the test is common there now. I got my license in Georgia at 16 (almost two decades ago...yikes), and like the poster you’re responding too, we never left the government complex parking lot. My test literally consisted of driving over to one area to parallel park and

Agreed on the hood vents. They’re real.

Just stop blaming this on Trump; Obama would have faltered just as badly - actually worse, since he NEVER would have put a travel ban on China let Trump did (that was so xenophobic!). We would have had way more cases by now if he was in charge.

A buddy of mine turned me onto Siggis (also a skyr style yogurt) and it’s so good! The texture of it is just so decadent that it feels like dessert even if it’s not that sweet.
