If you were closer, I’d have a spare T-90 transmission full of water and possibly pitted gears to give you.
I’ll tear it down in 2 weeks when I’m back at the garage, could have useful parts in it for you.
Check with vintagejeeps.com, pretty much the best money can buy. And the novak kit for the T-18 transfer case is…
Those sideburns should be a felony just by themselves.
I don’t know about the V8 flatties but my Willys flathead has coolant in the head, the thermostat housing is actually bolted to it.
I drive 700kms every weekend to go to the cottage and bring my cat everytime.
She’s fast asleep on the passenger seat within 5 minutes, if music is playing.
And I do bring her to the vet, she’s just used to the car; started doing those trips back and forth when she was 2 months old.
I started dissassembling my jeep with just 3 wrench I found from the last owner (good thing everything was 1/2, 9/16 or 5/8 back then) and gradually expanded my toolbox (and budget) until I moved to a full size garage. Now there’s not much I cannot do on the jeep but even then, the shop manual and the quick Google are…
I agree there is nothing sporty about current SUV, maybe except AMG’s G-Wagen or similar but personnaly I would consider a SUV to be something unibodied with some sort of comfort for people that need either the extra room, the “ground clearance” or the AWD capabilities. Again you could probably find an example that…

It’s missing the sport-part
Unless you raise it a inch or two off the ground before re-starting the engine?
I’m not that much into stance either, but if he didn’t notch the frame and keep the car maintained (fenders looks good), he could always go back.
*puts flamesuit on* It’s “just” a subie.
I’d suggest before starting : Have replacement bolts.
You know it’s probably on bags right?
Volkswagen’s 2.5 inline 5-cyl are not bad stock over 3000rpms, but when swapped with a less restrictive exhaust(guess the same could be said of any car, ah), they do sound quite good. I think that one has 2.5” pipping.
*not my car, and an auto* and go to 3:30
Hard to find a good video of the stock exhaust.
With all that areo, you wouldn’t be late no more.
Great post! The Philippines are really the mecca of the jeep world. They are also the biggest supplier of reproduction parts, from chassis to wheels for us who restores them to war spec.
It should be annoted by James May too, with annotations that are longer than the actual text its commenting on. 500 pages easy.
