I don’t know about the V8 flatties but my Willys flathead has coolant in the head, the thermostat housing is actually bolted to it.

I drive 700kms every weekend to go to the cottage and bring my cat everytime.

Volkswagen’s 2.5 inline 5-cyl are not bad stock over 3000rpms, but when swapped with a less restrictive exhaust(guess the same could be said of any car, ah), they do sound quite good. I think that one has 2.5” pipping.

Great post! The Philippines are really the mecca of the jeep world. They are also the biggest supplier of reproduction parts, from chassis to wheels for us who restores them to war spec.
