Silica is becoming more common as the primary filler material as rolling resistance is increasingly becoming a point of emphasis for both original equipment and replacement market tires.

most larger volume plants have cars that require extensive rework. When I was a co-op at Honda’s East Liberty plant they only had 60-70% straight shipment of new cars. everything else required something to be addressed before it could be put on the car hauler
