I’d personally give this an A rather than a B. One of my favourite films of last year, particularly thanks to Hugh Grant, who puts everything into his performance.

Surely Hugh Grant qualified as an A-list actor after Four Weddings, at least for a few films? He was matched with Julia Roberts in Notting Hill, though I guess she probably got paid more than him.

I’ve not heard the other one, but Shake It Off is a fantastic song – great fun to listen to, and the video is great too, with all the different styles of dancing.

Ant-man doesn’t make sense in that it keeps changing the rules – he weighs the same as a full size man, but also he can ride on the back of an ant. That ant would be crushed by him. In fact, he’d be crushing many of the surfaces he walks on, putting 180 pounds of weight onto a surface area of a few millimetres squared.

If Superman can move as fast as The Flash, then what’s the point of The Flash? What’s the point of ANY of the other superheroes if none of them have a power that Superman can’t replicate or surpass?

A businessman should know the difference between gross and net. Pocahontas has a total worldwide box office take of $346m. Take away production costs, the cinemas’ take, advertising etc and you’re nowhere near $0.5bn ‘profit’.

The Bear and the Bow would be a better title for the film, given that it’s mainly about a bear and not much about being brave. It’s odd how little reference there was to bears in the marketing for the film. Certainly the bear-centric nature of the film took me by surprise. The title and poster led me to expect…

For me it ruined it. Neither Depp nor Wilder really captured Wonka. He’s a gentle character - the furious ‘GOOD DAY SIR!’ isn’t right at all.

Part of the difference is that Deen is really having rough sex while Cruise is simulating the killing. If Cruise was REALLY killing people then the point would work better.

Fairuza Balk also played the title role in The Worst Witch.

No-one seems to capture Trump properly. They all over-do rough aggression, and miss the needy, whining campness. That said, I can’t stand to listen to him in real life and impressions give me the same sick feeling.

I find it odd when people use ‘rumor’ as a synonym for ‘something that isn’t true’. Instead of saying “I’m not going to answer that because it’s a rumour”, say “I’m not going to answer that because it’s false”.

She says she could care less about Twin Peaks. So I guess that means she still cares at least a little, and perhaps even a lot.
